1 (tie): Dan Hawkins, Colorado. Word on the street was he was going to be let go mid year last year if they lost to Wyoming. This year he has to produce big or go home. 8-4 and bowl win at the very least.
1 (tie): Rich Rodriguez, Michigan, and everyone knows why, including him.
3: Paul Wulff, Washington State. Time to produce, at least a winning record and a bowl trip.
4: Friedgen, Maryland
5: Ron Zook, Illinois, but 8-4 with a bowl win should keep him there.

I don't think anyone mentioned Tom O'Brien at NC State, but his seat has to be warm if not hot. Bill Stewart probably needs to win at least 10 at W.Virginia this year, or he will be under some pressure.

I will always remember the Colorado game when he made this face when he didn't know whether he should call a time out.

I think O'Brien is going to be Ok for the time being. He really had to clean up a mess at NC State that "The Chest" left behind. More off the field issues that on the field. I think he will likely get at least two more seasons.
Stewart has one more season after this year remaining on his contract. Unless the Eers totally screw the pooch and have a sub .500 season (which won't be happening with the talent they have) I think Stew will be around for another season. After that I would not be surprised to see new AD Oliver Luck get hot on the coaching trail to land a big name guy to keep the WVU faithful content.

I think Les Miles might be on the hot seat. There are just different standards in the SEC and he has kind of slipped into mediocrity. I think with a 5 loss season, people start to get really restless. (funny I just went to espn.com and the headline article is about Miles and his job security)
Completely agree. Dantonio and Bilema are not close to the hot seat. Dantonio walked into a freaking mess that Williams left at MSU. He is safe and Bilema is coming off of a 10-3 season and a bowl win. He isn't even close to the hot seat unless they completely fall apart this year. On top of that, he was hand picked by Barry A., the AD who he coached under.
Brewster isn't going anywhere anytime soon either. They have a new field, he is building a program and there isn't much pressure at Minny currently.
And who said Mason was a quality coach? lol
I also agree with Miles. He is coming off of a 5 and 4 loss seasons after winning the title. This with top recruiting classes. Another 4+ loss season...and he could be gone IMO.

There was an article on ESPN about how Miles' seat is getting warmer. I'd hope it was getting hot after that meltdown he had against Ole Miss. I still shake my head haha.

Let me clarify, when i say that Dantonio and Bilema are on the hot seat, I don't mean that their jobs are on the line THIS YEAR. I do however believe that their time may be drawing to a close and that if their teams don't show improvement and produce this year that next season may be a make or break one for them.

I agree, that has to be the worst clock management and maybe the worst overall coaching I've ever seen.
On a side note, I still believe that he's going to be the next coach at Michigan, and if UM fires Rodriguez after this year and if Mile's butt is burning down in Baton Rouge, it would be the perfect opportunity for him to get out of dodge. And if LSU happen to fire him, then I could definitely see Michigan canning Rodriguez just to get Miles even if they were planning on giving RichRod one more yea

There were several million reasons why Youboty left.
Actually I stand corrected.....Youboty isn't making that much.

Haha exactly. He got picked in the 3rd round. He got paid, but don't you think he could have improved on that?

I was on board for RichRod at Michigan, I really was. I thought he would bring the spread and the speed on both sides of the ball to Ann Arbor, and FINALLY get us over the hump.
But..
I am 100% for Michigan firing RichRod. Not just for the on the field performance, but this guy has ruined the Michigan brand. Well, maybe not ruined, but stained. This will be his last year The University of Michigan. We'll struggle in most of our games, and end up with 6 or 7 wins.
I'm starting the "Bring Harbaugh to Michigan" campaign right now.

If Les Miles were to ever get fired from LSU, I don't think Michigan has fallen to the type of program that goes after a coach that wasn't good enough for another school.krambman;457869 wrote:

Can't blame you for one second. I can't believe there are many a Mich fan who want to keep this guy around. It was quite obvious he was getting away with quite a bit at WVU, things he couldn't get away with at Mich. Its all catching up with him now, obviously. Harbaugh would be a no brainer IMO. Be interesting to see how this plays out in the next season or two. I would think Rich is on VERY thin ice currently.

For those of you who want Harbaugh at Michigan, I would suggest that you rethink that for a second. It seems very obvious to me that the NFL is Harbaugh's dream and final destination. I understand that he grew up in Ann Arbor and played at UM, so obviously that would be a dream job for him, but ultimately I think the NFL is still his real dream, even more than Michigan. His brother is a head coach in the NFL with the Ravens and I think he's just waiting for the right opportunity to come along for him to make the jump. Do you really want Michigan to hire him only to see him bolt for the NFL two years later? And don't quote me some line about loyalty and the Michigan family, because we all know it's crap when the NFL comes along and offers him twice what Michigan can pay him. Just something to think about for those of you dying to see Harbaugh on the Michigan sidelines.

Who knows. If Miles and Rodriguez bith get the axe after this year, Michigan just might go after Miles again.
