I have a client in Michigan that I had to hear brag on my 2 trips to Michigan this past year (he knows I’m from the Ohio Valley). I would like to return the favor this year!
I hear good things from the Cambridge scrimmage and then some not so good things from the Lake scrimmage. QB being a concern in previous thread posts.
It’s hard to predict this game with little known about Inkster. They have a well known program in the state of Michigan and what looks like a solid/tough schedule.

Will Big Red get redemption?
For selfish reasons I hope so!

Good luck.

Although not a fan of Big Red, the majority of schools here in the valley would go 0-10 with that schedule. Good luck Steuby.

I only saw inkster last year, but they are very similar to glenville. They always have a ton of athletes. one of the things that will factor into this game is the coaching. The inkster coach has not been there that long ,but he is a good coach. last years game was like 2 heavyweights punching it out until the final round. how many coaches can say that they beat one of renos teams?.......not many. if big red does not step it up,it may be a long night.Even if inkster does not have alot of returning starters, the coach will have his youngsters ready. I have seen predominately black high school teams from maryland, pittsburgh,dc and virginia, and the inkster team was very well disciplined, the most I have ever seen.

The info that I have gotten on Inkster is that they will be a strong offensive team leaning towards the running game this year since the D1 qb graduated last year. The defense may be a little down and more vulnerable to a passing attack.

I honestly don't know what to make of this game. Inkster really fooled me last year, I thought they were going to be an easy win for Big Red. Inkter has speed which is the only way to beat Big Red. If Big Red continues to have some problems with the offensive side of the ball, it may be a game or two before they get the kinks out. Hard to predict this one.

So is Big Red reloading again this year? I don't think they ever rebuild. Great High School program.

Both of the teams that beat Big Red last year featured upper echlon D1 prospects that went on to Michigan and Nebraska. Both players we just couldn't tackle.

I knew coming into last year that Gardner would give us fits, but their running backs did as well. We will have to tackle better and contain them. I'm trying to remember if the one is back..I know he was being recruited by Central Michigan, so he may have been a senior..I hope so.

Manowar and I have been saying since last yr this team is a good TEAM. Not a "well disciplined black team" Just a good TEAM. They have 6 players getting D1 looks. The defensive back field will be strong not "vulnerable" with 3 out of 4 getting D1 looks. Remember, a good player can get beat on a play and still be a good player. The Dline at DT & DE is where the Q's are at.

Bell is returning at RB and has good hips/feet and runs well under his pads. Hard to tackle for his size. Might be one of the best RB's we may face this season.

So again here's a list of players to watch;

Inkster Vikings- Seniors
Da'shawn Bell- 5'9 175 SR RB, Bowling Green, Central Michigan,Cincinnati,Michigan,Michigan State,Western Michigan.
Dwight Trammer- 6'2 227 SR ILB, Central Michigan,Cincinnati,Eastern-Michigan,Mississippi,Western Michigan.
Donovan Lindsay- 5'10 172 DB/Safety-looks from Wisconsin.
Donnell Brewer- 5'9 170 SR Safety, looks from; Central Michigan.
Lavelle Hall- 6'1 173 SR DB/Safety, looks from Cincinnati.
Derrick Campbell- 6'2 270 SR Center, looks from Auburn.
Sadre' Howard- 5'10 191 OLB.

Inkster- Juniors
Marquise Wallace- 6'3 250 JR OT.
Dajuan Darling- 5'11 170 JR DB/Safety.

they may be a good team.but they are mostly black,it is just a fact.90 percent of the black teams I have seen don't have discipline, inkster has discipline because of the coach....

Right. Because of the coach! not their skin color. I've seen a lot of football and I would never say " I have seen predominately WHITE high school teams from Maryland,Pittsburgh,DC and Virginia, and the Martins Ferry team was very well disciplined, the most I have ever seen. One would just say that Ferry was a good disciplined team. You wouldn't add that they were WHITE. Why don't you just say that the Inkster coach spoke well and that many of your friends are black. Your implication is that MOST BLACK high school teams are not disciplined.

It was nice meeting you tonight Peachy. The Qb situation has worked itself out. I was a little quick to jump the gun lol. Pierro looked very good tonight made some very nice throws. Shaq at WR is nice. He going to be very explosive out wide.

Whoa guys..enough with the race talk. Any posts talking about that will be gone from here on out. That plays no factor in High School football.

Good luck Big Red.

Represent Ohio and get the payback.

Plus I want to repay the favor to my Michigan friend and give back some of his smack I had to put up with.
