Frank said the public projection was mistaken for two reasons: because it would have been impossible to precisely predict the impact of the stimulus, and because the case should have focused on how things for consumers would have been better for consumers than had the stimulus not passed. As things stand, Frank said, Democrats and Obama were saddled with a "false prediction."

I'm glad that Frank included himself into the equation. I've said for a while now that the democrats in power are starting to eat their own. Perhaps that's a good thing, though, when you think about it.
It's high time that the party started the molting process. And the first step to that is to show some actual humility and regret.

I will give Frank at least enough credit to concede to that point, if no others. I wonder if anybody else will follow his lead?

I would bet that there will be more mea culpas over the next couple of months. The only tactic left for the Congressional Dems at this point is to try and throw Bam under the bus.

Nothing new though. The Dems have a long illustrious track record of in-fighting and tossing each other under the bus. I'm thinking there must be a good reason for that phenomenon.

Keep a sharp eye on the Dems for their new strategy of running against Obama and the elites in Washington. It might sell, as it sold to the people in John Murtha's old district in Pennsylvania earlier this year. Mark Critz ran a wonderful campaign explaining how he did not agree with Obama on many issues and would continue to bring home the bacon for his district, just like King Murtha did for all those years.

They trotted it out then and they will refine it now. Hell, even Harry Reid has an anti-Obama point now that he's disagreed with him on the Hammosque in NYC. Only a socialist could conjure up an idea to run against themselves and portray themselves as the agents of "change" needed in Washington.
