I understand your point.
We, however, offend potential customers all the time when we refuse or decline to accept certain new clients. We don't want everybody. We know exactly who we serve best and we market to them. When others come to us that have been suggested by other clients or family members that don't fit our profile we turn them away or suggest another firm. It insults them and it's still the right thing to do for my business.
