Some rather good news: The Coach told me today that on the original MRI, it was thought to be a clean break. Upon further review, it has been ruled that the "break" was in fact a growth plate. Latest diagnosis is a bad sprain and looking at 2 weeks out now. I hope this makes everybody feel a little bit better!

BRF - Are you talking about Pierman's injury?

Yes, I should have posted that on our own thread instead of here.

I liked the way our running game looked compared to last season. We have some hitters this year on the def. side of the ball.We are a verry young team with lots to learn,so we will see how they progress week to week.

As I was getting home last night, I noticed a change in the air. Looking at the weather forecast for this week, it looks like the 90's are gone, and football weather is setting in. It is almost like you can smell it in the air. Why can't it be like this all year?

AMEN! Yesterday's weather was PERFECT and a wonderful transition (hopefully) into the Autumn season! Good luck to both teams.

The Red Riders will certainly come into this game with something to prove. I do like their chances.
If Northwest gets out to an early lead, they cannot afford to sit back and run the clock. Orrville has some quick strike scoring talent, so Northwest will have to play all four quarters.
It will be interesting to see what Orrville does without Pirman in the line up. How much do they alter the game plan?

Not much, in my opinion. They'll be run first, pass second this season, and they have plenty of viable targets. They will miss him more on defense, I think.

^^That's about right.
Gotta think Orrville keeps it simple. Can't get behind early and try to "big play" our way back into the game.
Keep the game in front of you, don't give up the big play and spread the ball around.

Can anyone give some directions to the stadium. I may be hitting this game instead on Friday night. Also, is there a good amount of parking? Any useful tips would be greatly appreciated.

Take 93 into Canal Fulton - turn left on High St. - High St becomes Erie....stadium is at school on the right.
It's not so much that there isn't parking, it's that it's so spread out. Park anywhere you can and be ready to walk.
Here's a map...click the school logo to pull up driving directions from wherever you're coming from.

I believe: Riders will win, Riders will hit NW QB repeatedly, and Riders still won't get a compliment from Coach Whiting!

Is it Friday yet? I can smell it in the air. Does anyone else's wives hate them for the next 10+ weeks?
