I had the unenviable task of coaching against her for four years during the early mid 2000's and she was a spectacular high school runner. We ran against her in Centerville and in the State Meet. We had a pretty good lead runner ourselves but she couldn't beat Angela. Her Mason Team was always a good test for us as it gave both of our teams a real good idea of where we stood in the State Meet. Congratulations to a truly outstanding distance runner on her tremendous accomplishment in the NCAA Championships.

WOW, that's fantastic, way to go Angela!!!
Does anyone know what happened to Jenny Barringer? She was the overwhelming pre-race favorite.

Barringer led the race from the start but about halfway thru she fell back several places. She then stopped, fell to the ground and got up but finished way back - it was sad to see. Kuijken (FSU) had a nice lead after Barringer fell off but Bizzarri and Schaaf (Washington) tracked her down with about 600 to go. Bizzarri was a bit stronger to take the win.
Ohio had 5 women in the top 35 today. Bizzarri (1), Infeld (8), Pritt (17), Franek (26) and Peale (32)
