Here is a place to post the thing that just drive you insane
here is one that made me just sit back and hold my head.
A new "Surtax to send more troops to Afganistain"
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/11/23/lawmakers-propose-war-surtax-pay-troop-increase-afghanistan/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%253A+foxnews%252Fpolitics+%2528FOXNews.com+-+Politics%2529&utm_content=My+Yahoo
Evidentally we can do a Stimulus, Pay for healthcare, fund groups such as ACORN. But we just can't pay for more troops according to these democrats.

Yeah...why should I have to kick in for the 100 billion dollar wars (per year) when I can just defer the costs to my grandchildren? Don't they know it's my money?RoyalNut wrote: Here is a place to post the thing that just drive you insane

Why don't we stop funding people like ACORN and sending foreign aid to places like Brazil to drill for oil that we buy back from them? And stop funding projects like the 15 million that just went to John Murtha's private/public airport! What say we try to find the 85 billion in medicare fraud they claim is out there every year? Before we start taxing people that create jobs in this country for more money for the troops?derek bomar wrote: why the fuck shouldn't we pay for more troops?
Oh it is not that I think they should not be funded. I just think they should not add another tax on the American people to do it!
I have an idea, what say we tax every campaign contribution made to any political campaign to the tune of-oh lets say 50% by special interests. But No OMG heaven forbid we do anything like that! Lets just tax the rich! Heck they have it! But you know and I know they won't have it by the time this administration and their social justice agenda is through with them. There will be no upper middle class, heck there will be no middle class at all. There will be the uber rich controlling elite and the sheeple. And nothing in between.
People like you make my head explode!

This just creates the AGE-OLD argument of:
Why won't the government freeze and cut its spending in order to have money for other things?
Answer:
It absolutely will not do that. It doesn't know how. It will never destroy what it has created.

I agree but when you start talking about a 25 trillion dollar deficit by 2020 I think it might be time to take a real serious look at the expenditure side of this ledger.CenterBHSFan wrote: This just creates the AGE-OLD argument of:

I guess what I am saying it is high time we find some people that will stop this spending. And get real serious about slashing this budget, regardless the political fall out. But that means we have to find honest politicians, not sure it is possible.

The Uber rich (corporations) already have so many tax holes and are making record profits. Where are the higher pay rates and more jobs?
There are none the corporations have the government in their pocket book. Not only that the laws are being put into place to benefit the corporations and not the people.
It is time to stop handing out corporate welfare and start taxing those that can afford to be taxed.
Lower taxes on the declining middle class and raise tax rates on excessive profits and I like the idea of taxing the corporations lobbyists.
Time to go back to the tax rates of the 1950's only change the cap to accomodate inflation.
You are right the corporations that are controlling our government will have none of that.

Royal Nut,
Your welcome
And, at least up to this point, nobody has resorted to name calling on this thread. Let's hope that continues, because I think this has the potential to be very interesting thread.

It may be a drop in the bucket, but I say its the wrong drop in the wrong bucket. And if you don't fix those drips pretty soon your whole house will be flooded.cbus4life wrote:No, i'm not a member, and it is a drop-in-the-bucket compared to the amount of money we've wasted in various wars around the world, and occupying various countries.RoyalNut wrote:what? I must admit I'm a little amiss over your last statement? 10 years too late, so what you are saying is that ACORN SEIU dam has already broken and there is no stopping us now? I for one pray your wrong! I'm not ready to start calling my neighbors comrade.
And it will be over my dead body before its over if it comes to that, which I pray it does not.

Your opinion automatically means nothing now that you've played the "comrade" card. Give me a break.
I'm saying you are 10 years late because the whole "ACORN outrage bus" has come and gone, it was taken care of, and it isn't worth worrying about.

Oh and the "Comrad card" as you call it, and that is a first for me, congrats.
you tell me we are not looking at a socialist agenda, now in history you show me where any socialistic society has not turned into a communistic society? Socialism is nothing more then a short stop on the way to communism. History has proven that.

Umm, we're not even as socialist as most of Western Europe, much of which is characterized, or has been characterized, as having decidedly democratic socialist policies.
Yet to see them turn into communist nations. Nor will they.

How would you define socialism?RoyalNut wrote:you don't pay much attention to things do you?cbus4life wrote: Your opinion automatically means nothing now that you've played the "comrade" card. Give me a break.

The reason I ask is for clarification. If you mean one thing by socialism and someone else means something different then you are talking past one another.
