Looks like an excited Little League team. The Reds are too pumped up and too anxious to stomp the Cardinals that they are playing badly.

You're starting to sound like the true Reds fans I've come to appreciate over the years.

Ondrusek hasn't had to back up home in 2 months........how often does a pitcher make a throw after a backup of home? Pujols picked him.

I know, I know...

It's just odd that a team like the Reds, who are one of the best defensive teams around, are stumbling through this one.

4 runs down and Janish swings at ball 4 on a 3-1 count, then Ks on the next pitch. Anxiety, anxiety, anxiety!

It's getting late. The Reds had better do something or they'll be the "Deads".

And this one belongs to the Red.............birds!

Only fitting that Phillips made the final out. Guess those b*****s from St. Louis own him now.

A big factor on both Cardinal wins was their excellent controlled directional hitting!

The Reds lost this game with their baserunning and defense. I count 10 bad plays, one baserunning and 9 defensive.

Gomes 1st, failed to catch liner in sun
Cueto 1st, let a grounder get thru him that would have kept the run from scoring if he stopped it
Votto 5th, failed a fancy scoop when a fundamental play would have done
Gomes 6th, bad play on a hit off the wall
Heisey 6th, tried to barehand and ground ball down the RF line and missed it
Edmonds 6th, got picked of 2nd(baserunning)
Gomes 7th, air-mailed throw home
Ondrusek 7th, took him four tries to pick-up the air-mailed throw, then threw late to 2nd
Hernandez 7th, missed the return throw from 2nd allowing a run to score
Masset/Hernandez in 8th, let pitch go to the backstop allowing runner to take 2nd
