2nd oldest leaves for his second year. He's transfering from ODU to Kent and leaves the 26th. 3rd in line will be a freshman at Ashland and she leaves on the 19th. This is our first year to have 2 in school at the same time. Needless to say, we are broke. If anyone would like to contribute to my children's college fund or buy them some shit for their dorm rooms, please pm me. ;)

I left for college June 1ish. Junior at Ohio State.

My parents had FIVE in college at the same time, lol. Luckily for them they didn't pay for anything for any of us. They did buy my books twice and gave us the occassional $25 to get something other than cafeteria food. I really was grateful for that.

Power I - we feel your pain Ours youngest of just finished his fourth (and final) year of parentally-funded higher education I'm still driving a ten-year-old minivan, and Lady D'Friskies has a part-time second job to cover tuition and rebuild our savings account.


Still, I think we were fortunate - the kids only have about $6K in student loans to worry about. Son Of Cat Food's girlfriend just graduated from college with a journalism degree, $70K in student loans, and no immediate job prospects. :(

We'll have four in college - oldest is working on her master's & commutes, youngest will also commute to a community college to get her gen ed's out of the way. The other two live in or near the college campus. We'll have more than an occasional evening to ourselves & are defintely looking forward to it!
