Ok so last January a guy (lets call him T) who I thought was my friend lost his mother to MS. The guy really had no place to go once she had passed so I thought I would be a good friend and contact our mutual friend who owned a building with an apartment over it to see if T could live in the apartment. Well the mutual friend said sure but he at least needed the utilities paid. So I decided to help him out by paying the utilities until he landed a job. He lives in a small town with very few businesses but he finally broke down and got a job at McDonalds. I paid for January's utilities and he paid me back but then got fired from his job. I ended up paying February's utilities and decided at that time that I wasn't paying for any other months. T stayed until the beginning of April and then decided he was moving to Washington state. Well he stayed there for a month or so and then ended up living at his sister's house in Marietta. December rolls around and he told me he was trying to get into a school of some kind but that was the last I had heard from him. I decided to look for a few of his old girlfriends on Facebook to see if he happened to end up with one of them and sure enough he did. So I message her and ask how he is doing and she never writes back. Well a friend of T messages me and says that she had talked to the guy's girlfriend and she told him that our friend didn't want to talk to anyone from home. I was going to let it go that he owed me the money but now that he wants to be a little bitch I definitely plan on getting it from him. The buddy who owns the apartment is for it too since he paid the 235 for the last month he lived there. It would be a waste of money to take it to court I assume but I figure a road trip to bust his face should be in order. What say you?

If you are a teenager, "busting his face" is a great idea!!! I live by the idea that you never loan money you can't afford to lose. Just make sure he knows you are no longer friends, and move on.

Two choices:

1. Just let it go and forget about it.

2. Contact FOX about the Judge Joe Brown Show.

I didn't realize Mr. T had money issues. Must've blown all his acting money. Didn't realize his sister was from Marietta either?

I know how you feel man.

I have a friend that owes me about $800, and I know I'll never see a dime of it.

You're better of the cut your loses and move on. He's not worth the legal headache.

I have a "friend" who used to live with me who owes me a month's rent from 3 years ago...I'll never see it. And he calls me every year to do his fucking taxes.

Got fired from McDonalds? Awesome

I worked there 5 years and no more than 3 of the range of about 300 employees were fired.

lol the only thing I remember is that he was trying to move some shit out of his garage and ended up cutting up his hand pretty bad with a pipe or something. So then he had it all bandaged and supposedly couldn't go to work and ended up getting canned. The cat didn't want the job in the first place. He thought it was beneath him and he is kind of a lazy person in the first place.

This was not a loan. Like said above, don't lend money to "friends" or "family", you'll have resentment when it is not paid back.

Trust me...this is the best money you've ever spent. Usually these kinda douchers keep coming back for more if they somehow are able to occasionally pay back. But the ones who owe you over an extended period of time never show up and you don't need dickweeds like this hangin around anyhow. Say Hallelujah and move on.

While I agree fighting isn't the answer to everything I hardly believe it's immature in this case. No more input needed though. I'm just going to chalk it up as a lesson/loss and move on.
