Agreed. Bench Stubbs after today if you want, but with the way he hits against the Cubs he needs to be in the lineup.

That play in the top of the first where the double play turner at 2B loses control during the process has become a bail-out compromise call for the umps. Just about like it used to be in basketball where a drive to the basket and there was a collision and the ball goes in the basket, the refs would always rule basket good and a foul on the offensive driver. This DP attempt play has become the same sort of thing where they give the first out saying he lost control on the glove to hand transfer for the throw. Most of the time that is the case, but in this case the pivotman lost the ball out of his glove before the hand even got there, and the ball was never secure in the glove for the out to be properly called.

Bruce is taking full advantage of a pitcher that is just throwing him creampuffs....this should help Jay's confidence....but Chris Carpenter ain't throwing any of those pitches.

Still cannot stand Hanigan and Janish and #7 and #8.....especially the better the pitcher is.
