I don't really know GoChiefs, I am really surprised Hinton or Bart want it, a few people have said Hinton only applied in case a levy fails at AC, but I don't think that is true at all, he does have kids in the system. I would bet Hinton gets it.

Great site!! I wish I had found it sooner.
According to the Gazette the finalists were to interview last Saturday with Superintendent Crago, BOE president Steve Mullins and another board member, Randy Drewyor.

According to a poster on www.southeasternohiopreps.com Ron Hinton has accepted the job of Chillicothe coach. Wow, never thought he would leave Amanda, congrats coach and good luck.

Interesting move by Ron, if confirmed. There have been rumors for the past 5 or so years that Ron was going to retire from coaching, but I always figured he would go for a long time. He would get bored out of the game pretty quickly I think, and he should still have some mileage in the tank (I think he is about 60 now). Plus, he has a realistic shot to get into the top three or so in wins all time if he keeps at it and if he can turn Chillicothe around quickly (maybe #1 if Lutz ever retires). He is very close to 300 now I believe. Having played for him, he is a very good and demanding coach who will get the most out of most players, particularly the marginally talented ones every school needs to contribute. I think a very good hire for Chillicothe if true.

Wow I am floored over this if true. Ron leaving Amanda after all these years. As a former player this community will miss him for sure. I would have thought if he were going to leave it would have been years ago.

I really don't think ron wanted to leave I think he is just wanting to make sure he will have some where to coach next year we all know that the levy is not going to pass for the third time the school droped the ball in this one

Remember voters fail levies not schools.

Hinton is officially hired as coach. Good hire for the Cavs, Hinton said it is his family and wants to see his grandkids involved in stuff and they go to Chillicothe, so can't fault him really.

I guess I have some crow to eat on this thread. I can't believe Hinton left Amanda, but I guess congrats are in order to Chillicothe for landing such a top level coach.
