I'm ready, it's been like 3 days since I've got to watch a game. How has Heisey looked the past few days?

Heisey has looked great in what I've seen. Not sure what he looked like yesterday, though.

Also, how bad is Jeff Piecoro?

Random question...if you could go to the monday game of Carpenter vs Leake or the Tuesday game of Cueto vs Garcia which would you choose?

Tuesday, as Cueto > Leake. Reds have a much better chance of winning that game.

I'll be going Tuesday for sure. I'd be going Monday as well if I didn't have to pick up my damn wife at the airport at 7:30. Bah.

Cardinals series is almost sold out. Florida series is filling up fast. It's amazing how easy it is to fill up the ballpark when you put a competent team on the field.

After walking the lead-off batter on 4 pitches, Volquez retires the next three on weak ground balls and uses 14 pitches for the 1st, compared to Wells who had 11 pitches for the 3 he faced.

Another weak ground ball for the Cubs to lead-off the 2nd, but it finds a big hole in the 3.5 gap.

Leadoff double for Stubbs. Hopefully the benching put a charge into him.

Great play by Nix and it makes Byrd's gamble look poor. But I think it was a good gamble. If Nix catches it and Bryd holds, the pitcher is up with two outs. If he holds and Nix doesn't catch it, but keeps it it front of him, Bryd doesn't score and the bases are loaded with the pitcher still up, but just one out. I think Byrd did the right thing!

Reds catchers with the first RBI of each game in the series, and with 3 of the 4 so far in the series. I like the Reds catching situation. Ideally you'd have a right handeded hitting one and a lefty. But the Reds have one for Spanish speaking pitchers, and one for English speaking!

Now, I didn't like Hernandez gamble on Phillips drive down the right field line as he is doubled off. He probably doesn't score unless Fukudome misses it completely, and he still gives up the DP if he catches it, and the pitcher is not the next batter.

Yes, key was coming back from a 3-1 count to get the pitcher leading off.

Bruce blows a pretty good situationj on the first pitch with a weak grounder to 1B to end the 4th with two on.

Volquez again comes back from 3-1 down to get Byrd for the first out of the 4th.
