Also, I know David Durham wasn't highly touted, but he just looks like a football player, and I think he'll be a big surprise in this freshman class.

Cam is definitely a beast!!!!

Cam Heyward has worked for our construction company for the last two years for extra money. He primarily works out in our construction yard doing odd jobs with my little brother. Not that Buckeye fans need anymore reasons to cheer Cameron. . . He is an extremely nice guy. He addresses everybody with sir, and works his ass off (even though he's about to be a millionaire). It is hilarious, because he does have such an incredibly intimidating stature.

That's pretty cool to hear! I would never imagined that he needed to make extra money though!

If our laborers got paid that much. . . I wouldn't be in here on the computer! LOL

Our company doesn't really mess around with the OSU players. We had Orlando Pace and Shawn Springs work in here during the mid 90's, Rob Harley (Columbus's Channel 6 ABC Football Analyst), Rory Nichol, Jake Ballard, etc. All were good workers that got paid laborer's scale. But, we had to fire Richard McNutt because he got caught sleeping in an air conditioned building on two separate occasions.

I was joking about the hourly rate, sorry if no one got it. It's somewhat common knowledge that many athletes have connections through their coach's friends who can get them seasonal employment and pay them well. I'm not saying anything about NCAA violations, but say Mr. Smith is a big time booster, they have been known to pay decently for services even just around the house at times.

Not sure why I don't like D1 athletes, hell more power to them because of the connections they can make.

I get it. It would have been funny if this were a thread about anyone other than OSU. You have to remember the audience.

I didn't think anything of it. . . I've heard all the jokes upon telling friends we hire OSU football players! After the Rhett Bomar situation, I think it is the first presumption that comes to mind.

I really wasn't taking a shot at your business. My dad's company hires OSU athletes to cut grass fairly often. It's just a perk of being an OSU football player, you are more qualified for the seasonal jobs because people around Columbus want to have personal relationships with the guys they watch on Saturdays.

Have you ever had dinner at Muirfield Village Country Club? The tables are well spaced so the OSU offensive linemen can bus tables without knocking them over.
