Not really sure you can put Michigan's program ahead of Nebraskas, especially if you think Nebraska is returning to its former self. It also depends on who they would play in the other division. If Nebraska is playing OSU every year as their "rival" game, that puts them at a disadvantage to the other teams in the West. Similar to LSU playing Florida every year.
The ACC thought Miami and FSU would be the favorites to play each other in their conference championship game, but it hasn't happened once.

Iowa, Minnesota and possibly Wisconsin will be Nebraska's "rival" games. I can see the "west" with Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin and on occasion Illinois being better than anyone in the East outside of Ohio State.

Split the damn thing East and West and stop trying to out think and over analyze and screw up an obvious alignment. Michigan and Penn State just need to man up and play in the same Division as Ohio State. I know Tressel wants to play them every year. He's not afraid of it. The way it is now Penn State, Michigan and Ohio State play each other every year.

If one of those three aren't good enough to beat the other 2 schools they don't deserve to be in the West and play in the Title Game.

You really think Michigan is afraid to play OSU every year? You do realize this rivalry started before 2001 right? Michigan WANTS to play OSU every year. :rolleyes:

A little testy? Where did I say Michigan doesn't want to play Ohio State?? Maybe it's WHEN and WHERE they play?

Someone doesn't want all three of those schools in the East or the announcement of exact East/West Divisions would have been made a long time ago. Being Ohio State has won the past 5 Big Ten Titles and Tressel saying he would like to see Penn State, U of M, Michigan State, Indiana and Purdue in the East the foot dragging isn't coming from Columbus. Maybe Purdue and Indiana wants in the West with Nebraska and Iowa put in the East. Ya......something like that is refreshing.

I think if anybody would not want to play out of the big 3 it would be Penn State. They have had problems with UM for years and at best with OSU they win at home.
