Ridgewood has an extremely solid program...6 league Championships in the last 7 seasons...7 staight playoff apperences. But its not fair for a little old school like Ridgewood who has 50 players to go play a private school where everyone gets asked to go there to play sports who has 76 players.

Boobie, Ridgewood dressed 43 and Ursuline 78 ..a difference of 35 to choose from!!
In the words of Doc Arnold " I think we have hit the nerve". I can see the headlines in the weekend paper.

Division 1 Ursuline wins the D5 State Championship!!!!!!
38-14 over Coldwater, at the tailgate party before the game a contest was held to see how many different ohio county and different state license plates were represented by Irish players parents.

What a joke. Enjoy your "BIG" win

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Sorry guy..I have one user name. And I know nothing about any of the schools you are discussing on here either. So therefor..I have no reason to comment on this discussion. Get a clue.

I edited the post..yes..as the mod..I try to do that instead of just deleting the whole post like on the 'other' place. If it's the one I'm thinking of..someone was called an idiot or something of that nature. I really don't remember exactly what it was..no name calling..one of rules..so I just simply edited that out. So no..we are definitely not the same person. See your post above where you said we were the same person? See where it says I edited that? That's why the post says 'edited by GoChiefs'. Not b/c we are the same person.

So it is Ursuline's fault that Ridgewood can't get more kids to go out for football? Should coach Reardon go over to Ridgewood and try to talk to some of the kids who aren't playing football into going out for football?

There sure is a lot more fuel being added to the fire tonight when it comes to seperate titles or some kind of changes being made because the state finals games way to often looks anything but a championship type game.

Doubt it this is just in your mind. No one complained when Marion Local beat Ursuline and Coldwater beat Mooney. If your team is not competing then they need to step their game up.

When coldwater beat mooney and marion local beat ursuline, they were both considered major upsets. I say split them and if a public school wants to play private let and the privates allow it, go for it.

I'm sure that Coldwater and Marion Stein appreciate you under selling them. What was the other time (twice in 3 years) that Coldwater beat Mooney then? Also, the week before they beat Mooney, they beat Bishop Alter. I understand your logic, never let facts get in the way of your point, but it won't work here.

Also, how do you explain this:

6 titles -
St. Henry - 2006, 2004, 1995, 1994, 1992, 1990
Versailles - 2003, 1998, 1995, 1994, 1993, 1990

5 titles -
Delphos Saint John's - 2008, 2005, 1999, 1998, 1997

4 titles - 2 schools
Maria Stein Marion Local - 2007, 2006, 2001, 2000

3 titles -
Steubenville - 2006, 2005, 1984

2 titles -
Coldwater - 2007, 2005
Hilliard Davidson - 2009, 2006

This is a listing of some of the Public Schools that have managed to shock the world and actually beat Private Schools and win State Championships. (It's only recent teams by the way, so don't think it's complete)

All of the above are in the same league I believe, except for Steubenville and Hilliard Davidson

Somehow they figured out a way. You need to do the same. The system's not changing.

Those who can't compete - -complain

Hope you feel better now. You still were extremely over-rated, and got your butt whooped. Whoever you were playing deep into the playoffs would have done it to you. Do you really think you would have compete with Coldwater?

(Here's a clue NO)
