That's my biggest problem........Shawn Merrian was suspended for 4 games and cameback and they were still discussing him for defensive POY in the NFL......few even cared. I'm sure none of the NFL stars are doing illegal things......Lord knows the basketball players are angels of honesty and integrity.

It sucks the baseball guys are surpassing those all-time numbers.....difficult to distinguish the absolute or best.....or what the hell their stats would've been clean. Personally I don't believe Sammy Sosa ever reaches 400 HR let alone 600.........I think his numbers are the farthest off what they would've been without. Mr. Clemens sure looked to be done in 1994 and 1995.....then went 10 years of excellence.....he could be argued for that as well.

I would say the big difference in the example you gave is did being a drug addict "enhance" his performance or did being a drug addict make him a better football player?

Steroids have been proven to enhance performance and make it easier and faster to come back from injury.

for me...it is Big Henry Aaron until someone convinces me otherwise.....

if A. Rod keeps his nose clean for the next 100+ HR's, I may give him the title....
the title that would have been Junior Griffey's if not for the hamstring injuries.

Barry gets the nod for largest noggin' and biggest ego...so,
..............at least that's something.

I don't think Griffey would've gotten past 720 if you put his hamstring injury problems back in.

Aaron is the king, but I believe Bonds and Pete should be in the Hall. Look at Ty Cobb and some of the shit he did, yet he's in the Hall, that's just one example.

What rules did Ty Cobb break to prevent him from the HOF?
