Who do you think is the REAL home run king??

My answer, Bonds. "Everyone" was juicing, I don't blame him.

As a Braves fan, I say Bonds. Roids or not, he was unreal.

"REAL" homerun king is Bonds. Pitchers were and are juicing so you can't blame anyone in the whole "era."
i'm still waiting for proof to come out that all of the big names were on something, really wouldn't surprise me.

I am a throwback guy....I think all these stats from the last 20 yrs should be thrown out because of all the juicing.

We have gone from an era when practically anyone that carried a bat to the plate could hit one into another solar system, to an era where pitchers are throwing one and two hitters as a regular course of action. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cy Young award this year goes to a pitcher named undecided.

My problem is that there have been so many players implicated and "tell all" books written, that to be honest, I can't always remember who is suspected and who isn't. It won't matter anyway because by this time tomorrow someone else will tell on somebody else and be on Oprah or Ellen describing the sordid details. Therefore, quite awhile ago I just gave up trying to figure it out and if a player hits the ball out of the park and it's in fair territory, I'm counting them all the same.

What about the greenies that Aaron took? There got that out of the way.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bonds MVP's with * also.

I still think Aaron's record is more impressive. Unfortunately, it will be #3 or #4 on the list by 2020. Pujols and Arod will pass both Bonds and Aaron.

The numbers are what they are.
Bonds is the "real" home run king and will be until somebody hits one more home run than he did.

MLB's all time hits leader and all time home run leader will not be in the HOF...

I wouldn't be so sure about A-Rod catching Bonds... he's slowing down at a rapid rate the last couple of years.

And the statement above me? You've gotta be kidding. As much as I want the game to be pure and clean, its not going to be and won't ever be, and the baseball writers need to soften their stance on this. Other Halls of Fame (most particularly football) has people who were addicted to drugs(most specifically painkillers), womanizers, and other types in their HOF.

If Pujols surpasses Aaron and a roided up Bonds I would be willing to recognize him as the Home Run King. As it stands right now it is still Hank Aaron in my book.

It may not be totally pure or ever will be but they certainly shouldn't put people into the Hall of Fame who have ADMITTED cheating or ADMITTED to breaking the most sacred rule of baseball.

Aaron hit 755 roid free

Bonds had 433 by age 33 and at age 36 began getting huge....I bet he would've gotten near 600 with the smaller ballparks and watered down pitching.

Bonds is the HR king...Aaron's 755 is far more impressive

But people in the football hall of fame have admitted to what they did as well... Michael Irvin was an admitted drug addict and everyone knew it LONG before they went in. Please for once just let it be about the on-field merits
