Juan Francisco is gettin the call up to replace Cabrera.

Good news is if he is in the lineup tonight and tomorrow he will still be facing minor league quality arms. And then he's off to Chicago to face a staff that gave up 93 runs last night.

Unfortunately, this move makes me think Votto will be out for more than a couple games. This move allows Cairo to remain at first, and Francisco to spell Rolen at third, while Janish takes over the SS position for Cabrera. Hopefully I'm way off with this scenario!!

He is a terrible fielder and even worse in the clubhouse. That being said, his bat would be great in the 5 hole.What would you guys think of Manny in a Reds uniform? lol

I don't think he'd be bad in the clubhouse for a 7 week stretch. There's a pretty big Latin/Hispanic or whatever term you want to use population on the team. I think that would help.
I don't think I'd want him since he's been hurt, but I don't think he'd have that much trouble in GABP. On the road is another story.

Votto is fine, good news. He will be able to pinch hit tonight, and will be in the lineup tomorrow.
Janish becomes the everyday shortstop. Cairo will be the utility guy, as he can play all 4 infield positions. Francisco will be able to spell Rolen at 3rd when needed, similar to what Cairo's job used to be earlier in the season.
