I bet the trophy is big, so that would lead to a very large ass!

I don't know which is sadder, the fact that his people are advising him to do this, or the fact that he seems to think this is a good idea.

It all may very well be the immature response of a whiny child more than a PR move - just a subtle dig on CLE as payback for the stuff being said and written about him.
Clearly they are over their heads. But, don't those guys who were his childhood buddies kind of emphasize the very point that everyone is trying to make? He gave all his friends jobs that they don't deserve or aren't qualified to perform - presumably because they were his friends BEFORE they had much to gain from him. So, he IS loyal and their continued support of him demonstrates their loyalty.

Now, let's agree that he handled the situation poorly to begin with. Wouldn't someone with a strong value system try to set an example of forgiveness and the same loyalty they are preaching? As in, hey you made a mistake but I'm going to demonstrate how to be classy by wishing you luck? Instead of, hey you made a mistake so fuck you I'm going to burn your jersey and trash your character for the next twenty years?

I mean, if your child does something against your wishes, do you kick them out and tell them they can never come home? I mean really, Akron folks are ashamed of this guy that they don't really know, who just happened to be born there and who has put a lot of money into the place, but they aren't ashamed that the city is a shithole to begin with?

Fair point.....But I might counter with is he paying them, or forcing the team to put them on the payroll? Is it loyalty, or does he just prefer their exceptional and experienced ass kissing? I mean, isn't every entourage pretty much filled with yes-men and childhood sycophants?

Even if he "forced" the team to put them on the payroll, he's still looking out for them. I mean, if you got your buddy a job at your company, are you not really being loyal because you aren't just paying him out of your check? You helped him out, LeBron helps his boys out. For whatever the reason he or they do it, the point is all in the line, "we are not going to stand by you". Isn't that what loyalty is - standing by someone EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T AGREE (or when they've done something wrong)? His guys stand by him. He stands by his guys. Fans do NOT do that and then preach loyalty, which is totally bogus.

The only problem is you assume the motive is altruistic, rather than driven by ego. A need to surround oneself with suck-ups is not loyalty, it's narcissism.

Okay.....but you call fandom, "loyalty"? Why do you root for players on the team you choose - so you can feel associated to something that you otherwise aren't? What is the term for that?

I'd be really interested in everyone's definition of loyalty. I mean, to be loyal do you have to die for something? Or is it just staying true to a commitment or fulfilling an obligation? I mean, I get when you cheat on your wife how that demonstrates you aren't loyal. But LeBron signed a free agent contract. (I know, bring up the damn "promise" - seriously, that is a really stupid fall back). That is it, he went somewhere else when he had fulfilled his obligation. Now, talk about how he did it, but that has nothing to do with loyalty. That is simply tact (or lack thereof). Trying to make this some sort of moral or values issue is just kind of psychotic.

Nah he succeeded.

Clevelanders should know all about Lebron cock sucking, they did it for close to 10 yrs. I'd consider most of them experts. Just go look back at the kobe-Lebron stuff

I'm loyal to the team, not the players. I think that's the test. I suppose people can be a fan of a player, but my favorite players have always played on my favorite team. If you continue to root for and watch a team that's losing, then you're a loyal fan. Why do fans turn on players who leave a team for whatever reason? Usually because they are loyal to the team and not the player. Is it wrong to project or expect the same loyalty from a player? Probably, but when players talk about how much they love the city and team and then leave it creates real feelings of betrayal.

And I've never said Lebron wasn't loyal to the Cavs or owed them anything. I just think he's a quitter that took the easy out.

Wrong.

My god you're a troll but try to hide it by acting innocent. You're not a Cleveland fan yet find a reason to post in every thread going against Cleveland. Good job.

You're the type of idiot that when the Cavs drafted LBJ you would have said it was a dumb draft pick.

Who hated him? I watched Lebron play in opposing gyms before and after the Hummer incident. He was heckled before it just as much as he was heckled after it. Look at who was "hating" him......it was the student section from oppposing fans. "Everyone hated him".......not even close

Okay stalker, I've made it really clear on how I feel about Cleveland. I have an interest in them because that is who people on here talk about. If there were 10 threads on Oklahoma City, I'd probably discuss them as well. Sorry you are so simple minded that you can't fathom someone having a different perspective. Get out of your shit hole house every once and a while and you will realize there is a world outside of your bedroom.

The Cavs drafting Lebron was a no brainer you simple minded fuck.

I'll try to update my facebook profile picture for you sometime soon so that you have something new to look at.

Good job dude! Did ashland teach you how to cuss? Did they make you more open minded with their stellar education?!?!?

Way to try and call me out for getting out of the house when you're posting at 2 pm as well. Nice FAIL.

Getting Shaq for nothing was also a "no brainer" yet you were negative against that as well. Nice double standard.

Also you're right, the reason I dont like you is because you offer a different perspective. Way to go Space Cadet, you really are dellussional. "Fathoming" a different perspective isn't my issue, its your lack of knowledge on the subject, and you gerneral negativity towards everything.

Idiot post of the day.

Did your daughter go to Ashland and get knocked up or something? Not sure why you are trying to degrade Ashland?

I've asked you how many times to prove my lack of knowledge, and I'm still awaiting.

Are you really comparing trading for Shaq as a similar "no brainer" deal as drafting Lebron. My goodness, you are so far from making a good point it's really not even worth discussing. Shaq was past his prime, has a huge ego and was due $20 million. Not exactly a no brainer, and Cleveland probably takes that trade back if they could. And if it were such a no brainer, why weren't there any other teams lining up for his services?

Nope if I had a daughter, she would know better than to get knocked up by an ashland loser.

Haha, that's funny. He got tired of screwin' his average HS sweetheart, so he broke up with her during a party, and started dating the hottest and easiest chick out there. Then when he runs into the ex somewhere, he acts like he doesn't know her.
