I am a percussion instructor in NE ohio, and I am looking for metal items that I can turn into percussion "insturments". These items might include kegs, large drums, pans, cans, brake drums, lids, or anything else I can smack and make a good sound. I am happy to come pick up the items, and will return them (slightly altered) after use if requested. I get no pay for my work, and do not have an operating budget, so any help will be appreciated. If anything else it could be a way to get rid of some junk. Please send me a message if you have anything I can pilfer.

I know Justin has a metal plate in his head.
While I don't think he can take it out for you to use, he COULD come over and kneel down about where your high-hat would normally be!

I thought of that, and it would work well as I could cut them to different depths to get tonal sounds, but dont most people return them to get a deposit? Would a distributor ever have junk ones they are getting rid of?

tire rim would probably sound like a cymbol, depending on what type, more like a huge crash than a high hat
