He is going to need more than a Black Magic Woman to bounce back from this one.

Damn. He is probably the most important player to get at bats for the rest of the year, and his leg/ankle is now fucked.

Man that replay looked bad.

And you're right Layley....this is the wrong person to get hurt.

I thought it was the knee and what looked bad like the ankle was his shoe getting ripped off.............let's hope for the best.

Supernatural got trucked at the plate and his leg got all bent up and twisted underneath him. He didn't move for awhile and eventually got carted off.

And our bullpen is making things a lot more interesting than they should be.

Santana is OK, but having a pre-cautionary MRI.

Listening to the game on the radio...and that sounded really scary.
Nice win tonite...give Acta credit for putting one of his few remaining vets(Duncan) out in left to deal with the monster...and it paid off.

I sure hope he's ok, I don't know how he won't be out at least a few games but I was expecting the worst (surgery).

Chris Perez is going to be the closer we've all been longing for over the years. He's got nasty stuff and great poise on the mound.

Damn shame with Santana, I've heard a lot of people overreacting about it as if his career is over, it certainly didn't look good but I would imagine that is far from the case. However, even if everything were to end up alright and he wouldn't require surgery, I would expect the Indians to take every precaution necessary as he is a HUGE part of the future of this team.

As for the game, nice to see Perez do it again, I personally thought he should have even been given the job coming into this season with the way he took the job last year. I understood the club's position on having to get something out of that Wood contract but you have to draw the line somewhere. Either way, it's great to see him taking off and running with that closer's role.

Good to see Fausto bounce back from the Yankees start, the last few years a start like that would have probably sent him into a tailspin for another few weeks but it's just another sign of the step in the right direction he's taken this season.

Fausto wasn't there mentally. As soon as I heard Jhonny was traded I knew it would be a long night for Fabulous Fausto. He got back on track tonight. He's a great teammate though, Fausto is always clowning with the guys... He was quick to Santanas aide as well.

Carlos Santana tested ok with the trainers, but they're still going to have a precautionary MRI tomorrow.

Each time I tore my ACL, the little tests they do before the MRI they said i probably just sprained it and no ligament damage. Then the MRI came and 2/2 times it was Torn ACL

People give Boston fans a lot of flack, but they were pretty damn classy last night when they gave Carlos the standing O. The injury is unfortunate, but the play was awesome with Choo firing another laser from right.

If it really is as bad as it could be, which who knows what that is, his career as a catcher might be done. But the guy seems to be a freak and could be put just about anywhere. I could see him becoming a first baseman.

I actually have heard from someone close to the situation that Carlos Santana will be tried out at first base, much like Victor was.. They don't want him catching every game so that way they save his legs.

Plus we don't want to waste the talents of Gimenez on the bench, need to get him there behind the plate

Santana, Hafner, Youkilis were all sent to the 15-day DL today

And now Choo is down...Columbus might not have enough players to finish their season

Edit: He's up and running....and just stole second. I'd say he's ok

Lewis didn't hit him, the ball went behind him. Kinda surprised Beltre didn't get run, he was the one that went towards the mound.

Funny thing was, two Indians got hit during the game no Red Sox and yet the Sox were the one's acting like little children
