After our 3rd boy i had a vasectomy scheduled. Just a few days before I was to have it done my wife read online that the chances of men's "tubes" reattaching/growing back and getting pregnant in the future was much greater than a womans if she gets hers cut.
She did not want to get pregnant again, ever (medical reasons) so she had me cancel my vasectomy and got herself scheduled for a tubal ligation (where they actually cut/burn the tubes in a woman instead of tie them off).
I dodged that bullet

Hell, I don't have any kids at all and I've thought of getting fixed. Don't want any, ever.

Its really much easier and far less painful for the guy to do it.
I am thinking about getting one now and just pretending to be confused when I can't have children later.

I had it done at the same time I had hernia surgery. I never noticed it.

Research the connection between vasectomy and dementia there are some good articles about it being closely linked, that is probably the only reason why I haven't done it. It runs in the family pretty rampant on both sides.

I won't have it done.
Also, if a woman is having a C section, they can do it then. So it doesn't HAVE to be another surgery.

Attention all MEN: look at this site before you do anything!
http://essure.com
My wife had this done. 20 minutes in and out of the doctors office. No pain. Simple. Effective.
You can thank me later.
