Better where, though? You have to first find your niche. Once you find your niche/target market, then you have to find your competition.

The problem is that if the niche you want is a big forum full of BS and talk about random stuff...it won't fly...this place will be a ghost town in a year (that isn't a niche).

Yes it is, I can show you forums that make JJ's look like it was always a failure, and their niche has always been BS

what about targeting colleges instead of highschools? then we dont have to worry about kids getting on here and hooking up with teachers, but we still have the freshman college student who wants to still follow his highschool team. plus, do we even have anyone still in highschool on this site?

The more I think about it, the more I agree with what some others are saying about not needing to relate this site to JJ's or even to Free Huddle.

This is a great idea. Many colleges in Ohio don't really have a good message board to discuss sports and they are very limited in discussions (BG and Toledo for example. There aren't other forums to discuss things outside that school). UC has a decent board but not great, obviously OSU has a nice one. If we could have a college forum with specific subforums for each Ohio school I think that could work. Not sure the best way to promote it.

I've attached a document that can be used to print out business card sized handouts. I'm not the best wordsmith, so if anyone has suggestions for the text please let me know.

The Ringz was conemplating putting an ad in Triway's program as stated in the Triway football thread.

The deadline for the program came and went before all this came out which makes no sense. But I might try to sneak something in now. If not in the program I might just have to get creative.

The fact of the matter is, to grow this as a high school football website, language and vulgarity will have to be toned down/cut out.

Correct. Any guests viewing the forum will see profanity filtered out and new members will have the profanity filter turned on by default. There is also no swearing allowed in the high school forums.

Just spent $13.68 in order to help promote this website. ($1.68 more than what I would need to pay to use the devil's site)
What did I spend this money on you may ask? I used Vista Print to get 250 Ohio Chatter business cards to hand out at football games this year. The cards themselves were free and the $13.68 was for priority shipping.
I feel pretty satisfied about this...haha
Hopefully by doing this, we can add a bunch of people to the site and get this place hoppin!
