Scrimmage Results:

Overall I thought we looked pretty good on Saturday. Obviously a few things to work on, but still pretty good.

Riley looked very comfortable behind the line and made some very nice passes. His release has definitely quickened since last year. Offensive line was pretty solid most of the time...got a little shaky against Massillon later on in the scrimmage...but come on...its Massillon...haha The little bit of the red zone running attack looked much better than last year.

The pass defense seemed pretty solid. Let a few by us, but I feel confident in that part of our game.

The areas we looked weak in...

Run Defense...which is odd for NW, but if we don't man up in that area, the Marlington game could be ugly. However, I am sure the coaches will have the team ready for season start.

Although we didn't get to see much of it, the punting and field goal kicking was kind of scary. Not sure if they were using the normal guys...but it definitely needs some work. The punter seemed to only get the ball 20-30 yards at most and the field goal kicker seemed very raw and really struggled.

Anyone know who got hurt and the status?

It will be interesting to see how Northwest does against Garfield in the next scrimmage.

Anyone have the exact details for the Garfield Scrimmage. I have been hearing a lot of different times and dates from different sources. If someone that actually knows can clear this up for me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

If anyone is able to go to the Garfield scrimmage today, please let us know on here how it went. I am really stoked for this season. After the disappointing year that the Cleveland Indians have had and the way too rapid ouster from the playoffs that the Cavs went through, this High School and College season is going to be special.

From what I have seen on other sites, the scrimmage is tonight at 6pm in the stadium. So I will be there. Can't wait.

My final is tonight at Walsh, so I am not going to make it. I will check here when I get home at 10pm for any reports.
