Haha even if he did it's not like we're desperate for tailbacks. We are LOADED in the backfield. Back in Clarett's day it was him and that fucking bum Lydell Ross lol!

It's good to see him making an attempt to restart his life.

Wonder how this is being paid for?

Loaded with average backs. The fact that OSU doesn't have a #1 tells me they don't have a stud.

This is probably for a different discussion, but on the Common Man & The Torg they were asking listeners, over the last 15 years if you could pick one guy to play on this years team, who would it be?

The first player that came to my mind was Clarett. The dude was a beast.

ccrunner - think about it for a minute. He's have nooooo trouble with a classroom of otherwise obnoxious teenage boys.

I would take Clarett over Wells anyday. Wells had a ton of talent, but he was a pussy. Clarett was the OSU version of Mike Hart.. a small, HARD running back who never gave up on a play.

Clarett was hurt a lot like Wells, and he was quite a bit bigger than Hart 235 vs. 205

Nahh Hart wanted to be like Clarett but couldn't ever win The Game, or win a National Title.....

Just giving you a hard time but the two runners are very very alike.

I have to imagine Ohio State would've won National Championships in 2003 and 2005 if Clarett was there. Imagine that insanely good 2005 defense with Clarett in the backfield. Wow.

I wonder what classes he's taking, I hope I see him around campus.

He's out of jail huh? I remember the pizza place that I used to work for delivered pizzas to all the prisoners on good behavior and each inmate could pick 3 things. Clarett chose a large mushroom, onion, and green olive, a large chicken onion and banana peppers, and an order of chicken wings. I figured the order form was worth keeping since he was on it.

ScoutingOhio still has his highlight video in the hall of fame section, he sure could run the ball. It's a good watch for those that haven't seen it. He had a load of god-given talent. It's a shame he threw it away.

What's that old saying..."Youth is sometimes wasted on the young", or something along those lines. Some people can handle talent and opportunity and some can't. Unfortunately, Maurice was in that second group. Now, I hope that he can finally find something that will allow him to show all of us that it is never too late. A person can still find a path that will allow him to be a useful member of society and do some good things for others. Perhaps it could be something for those who had fallen through the cracks, just as Maurice had done.

There was no #1 when Auburn went undefeated a couple years ago when they had Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams..guess none of them were studs. Same goes for Arkansas with McFadden and Jones.
