Eagles Prevail!

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles collected their 1st win of the season, a 24-21 thriller over East Carolina on a last second FG!

Coach Darby: "It feels so good to get the monkey off our backs, especially in front of our home fans like this, I couldn't be prouder of everyone in our program who's kept working hard every day knowing that at some point we were going to break through. Our defense played their hearts out today and I have to give a lot of credit to backup QB Martevious Young who came in after an injury and was able to direct the team down the field. I couldn't be more proud of a team than I am right now, and now that we've got 1 under our belts we've gotta come out hungry for more!"

BYU beats rival San Diego State 63-58. San Diego State jumped out to a early 14-0 lead before the Cougars even knew what hit them. But BYU did respond, and score 28 points in the 2nd quarter and took a 28-17 lead into Halftime. The 2nd half opened with the Cougars getting the ball. On the first play Half Back JJ Di Luigi scampered 94 yards for a touchdown. The Cougars scored again to make it 42-17. In the final minute of the 3rd quarter the Aztecs scored twice to cut the Cougars lead to 42-31 going in to the last and final frame. The final 6 minutes saw 7 touchdowns 3 by the home Cougars and 4 by the visiting Aztecs. San Diego State cut it to 4 early in the 4th quarter but never got closer. Riley Nelson went 27-54 for 568 yards and 6 TD. But he also help the Aztecs with a short field throwing 5 interceptions. Coach Bucks had this to say "We turned over the damn ball way to much. 6 damn times to their 1, we are really lucky to get out of here with this win. I can promise you this, that this week of practice is going to be hell. If any player fucks up, he is going to hate life and probably wish he was away on one of the mission trips. We can't win games like this we have to travel to TCU next week and if we play like we did today we will lose by 40 points. But we will take the win!!"

Tulsa wins another nail-biter, 38-32 over SMU. The Golden Hurricane improve to 4-2 on the season and have their sights set on a bowl bid.

I would like to advance tomorrow night. Heel and wingman are playing thier game sometime after 5 PM tomorrow..all of the user vs cpu games should be played by then so as soon as they are done we should advance. So if you have a game vs the computer..play it.
