Stubbs needs to go to Louisville and bat leadoff for 2 weeks.

Props to Bruce and Hanny for working the count.

Cairo slows to screen the SS from Hanigan's two out grounder in the 5/6 hole and it gets thru to score two and a 3-1 Reds lead!

Yeah Stubbs screwed the pooch. You'll have that from young guys.

Hanigan bailed him out though with the help of the SS

Is this the first time that Leake has pitched with a lead all season?

SS makes the right play to get the force at home with Stubbs going to first, then is inept to not keep Haningan's grounder in the infield to only allow one run on that play.

You have to defend better than that with a pop-up and Pence on 3rd!

I don't think you can really blame BP if Jay wasn't calling him off. That falls on Jay IMO.

Defensive lapses cost each team a run - should be 2-1 instead of 3-2! Doesn't make much difference except the Reds had a 2 run advantage and gave one away.

I've done the same thing several times this season. They seem so much alike. Good thing they throw with opposite arms, or I'd be more confused!

Unconventional good play by Votto to hang up the runner going to 3rd, but Cairo botches the play by throwing to 2B too early on the hot-box and costs them the batter moving up to 2nd.

So LeCure is going to start tomorrow in place of of Cueto who has the flu. I wonder if they'll DL Rolen to clear a spot, and then bring up an infielder on Sunday. Maybe the Astros will trade Oswalt and both teams will have a "plan B" pitcher Sautrday.

Both defensive lapses by the Reds result in giving the Astros an extra base, but also both came very close to being double plays!

LeCure might go tomorrow, he is there in case Cueto can't go. Rolen is expected to play tomorrow night. My guess would be they would send Fisher or Smith down if they have to start LeCure, then send him right back down after his start and bring up a pen arm in Louisville.
