Jay Leno just made a joke about it. He said the cops reported,"This was the first time in years that a Cleveland Browns defender was able to stop anybody."

Good for him, although this almost seems set-up doesn't it? At a minimum, it's almost like he was trolling for opportunities to be a good sumeritan. You think Sean Rogers has ever driven drunk? Maybe this guy was so bad anyone would have done the same, but when Goodell is deciding on whether to suspend you a little good press can't hurt....

You can't be serious. You think a 20 yr old kid took the fall on an OVI so Rogers might get a little less punishment?

No, I'm saying Rogers' action may have largely been motivated by the need to score some goodwill.

Even if true, the odds of a situation just cropping up to "help" him are pretty steep...as in lottery territory. I'm guessing this was just one of those things that happens in life and there was no prior planning on anyone's part.

Sooooooo I'm working tonight and I walk up to the bar during a dead period and my buddy says to me "Hey you hear about Shaun Rodgers catching a guy with a DUI?" Of course I read it here first, so I had and acknowledged it. He says "yeah it was my best friend from high school. Guess he doesn't even remember it. He looked at this police picture and he was smiling as wide as he could. Guess he blew a .22 and is pretty dismayed it's all over the internet with his name posted." Oh well. It'll be a story ten years from now, if he doesn't clean his ass up.

Dammmmn. I blew a .078 and got fucked. Throw is retarded ass in jail!

I figured ole homeboy was smashed when the article said Rogers got behind him and put on his flashers. You gotta be fucked up to not notice that and try to get off the road cause youve been "caught"

IDK. What if a millionaire came to you and said hey kid take your first offense DUI and I'll make it worth your while? Not impossible. At 20 yrs old 20,000 is well worth your while eh? Now I don't think that's what happened but just sayin'.....

More likely Mr. Rodgers was really motivated to get himself some good press, as stated.
