I've been in education for well over 40 years and every now and then you see this type of thing. This is strictly a money grab and I would feel sorry for this kid, but his comments sound like he is reading from a prepared script. Can you spell enable?

I am laughing my you know what off right now. I am a P.E. teacher and love all the great responses I am reading. The funny thing is I deal with this kind of reaction from parents everyday. If little Johnny or suzie gets hurt in anything we do they are always trying to find something we did wrong. All of these instances is why we have the obesity problems we have in this country. Too many titty sucking babies!!!!

We had a kid in one of our high schools who was running sprints, stuck out his hands to slow down when he reached the end of the hall and broke both wrists when he hit the wall. I think we should ban walls.

If he did that much damage to himself how come he did not report it at the time? My guess, little Tyler hurt himself doing something like riding his dirt bike (see his poster) and didn't want to tell mom. Mom seems like the type if she found out he hurt himself on his bike the bike would be gone.

...I'm thinking this kid hurts himself by skateboarding or something he shouldn't have been doing and this way the medical bills will be handled by sueing the school.

Ya do hafta admit that T-ball kinda sucks. I mean c'mon Coach Pitch is safe for kids and it definitely transfers skills to baseball better than T-ball.

And check out the shelves - - - it looks like he's saved each and every can from when he's lived on the wild side and drank an energy drink!!! bwahahahaha Seriously, the parents are ridiculous and, frankly, if I had the misfortune of having a child that was that much of a candy ass, well....I don't know what I'd do. The whole "news" story is a joke (except the part about "more artistic than athletic" - that gave me a good laugh).

I remember hitting basketballs with bats when I was young, like10 OR 11. We'd pitch them by bouncing them in there, and every now and then some uncoordinated momma's boy would bounce the bat off the ball and into his face. It was classic, and it happened every time we played. Now, hitting a stationary ball off a cone, what kind of pussy do you have to be to tear a shoulder muscle...haha. Unreal.
