1) it wasn't really t-ball.

2) still, hitting a volleyball with a wooden bat? the guy's parents are looking for a payday. Kids have got hurt worse just horsing around.

Everyday we get closer to the reality of the ABC Afterschool Special "The Boy in a Plastic Bubble". As of stated before in other threads, I am sorely disappointed in my generation's child rearing abilities.

“Personally, I would probably never do that,” said Dennis Docheff, president-elect of NASPE and a University of Central Missouri professor. “I don’t think it’s an inappropriate practice for the sake of swinging a bat at a ball. But at the middle school level, I think they are ready to hit a moving target.”
lol, the people who think dodgeball is dangerous think this kid should be coordinated enough to not be playing tee-ball.

Man, the baby boomers are totally ruining this fucking country. His parents should be shot and the kid taken from them. If my parents would have ever tried something like this, we'd have had to move because I'd never be able to show my face at school again without getting the shit beat out of me for being such a pussy. I'm sick and tired of the sue happy big payday mentality of this country.

Dodgeball is not dangerous or scary. And tee-ball should only be banned for people older than 8.

I agree with your post completely, although I think given the kids age they are either on the very ate end of the baby boomer era or are more likely than not Gen Xers (1961-1981). I am in the Generation X category (1973 birth) and trust me I shake my head everyday with what I see from other parents in my generation. Of course, they probably say the same about me.

Any sport can cause serious injury. Why don't we ban any physical activity and have robots do all the moving around for us. That way we can't possibly be injured.

They're looking at their son like the goose that laid the golden egg. It's pathetic. And because his arm is in a sling he has a bed with side rails so he doesn't fall out... are you F'N kidding me? Really? I hope they kept the non-childproof medicine bottles from him, capped off the electrical outlets, and put soft bumpers on every hard corner in the house because that kid is a high-risk injury candidate if they can't trust him to fucking sleep in his bed without falling out at 14 years of age.

My god, what next?
