Janish after playing so little, has real patience at the plate in the 2 hole, and walks to put the first two on in the first.

And Votto hits the 2-2 pitch high and over the LCF fence for an early 3-0 lead for Leake and the Reds.

Votto hits a 3 run bomb after two leadoff walks to Cabrera and Janish.

Yes, Bruce goes the other way and doubles to LCF.

Semi-productive out by Cairo...if you're gonna make an out, at least help your team doing it.

Leake may be in a contest with Wood to see who can get the closest to a perfect game! Protecting the lead and the win though, has to be the major focus.

Mike Leake should be getting green lights when it isn't an obvious bunting situation. with a runner on 2nd, who is painfully slow. let leake swing

They did twice and he whiffed on one, and then didn't get the two strike grounder enough to the right to get past the P to get Corky to 3rd. I think he got ample opportunity to not make an out and get two on for a prospective big inning with the top of the order up.

Shocking Votto worked the count and then homered

Respectfully disagree. Francoeur definitely has the better arm, but I think Bruce is an all-around better fielder.

Reds have offered Jason Isringhausen a contract, said he looked good today throwing for Price and Dusty. I'd like this addition to the team, to be honest. He's 37, but he was damn freakin good when he was healthy.

Looks like Isringhausen would go to extended ST in Arizona and then possibly right to the majors, or maybe a very brief stop in AAA. Have to figure Matthews (who has hit better in AAA since his awful start) will replace Laynce Nix as the 5th OF. Dickerson then maybe replaces Heisey or they extend that out until the rosters are expanded. Either way, given the market, it wouldn't surprise me if some moves were made.

A lot of the experts are saying to expect a ton of movement, while some of the GM's have said prices are too outrageous as there are a lot more buyers than sellers at this point. This means the next 10 days or so are HUGE. Teams like the Mets, Phillies, Twins, Angels, Dodgers and a few others could really make or break how much they do in the next week in a half.

Reds just need to get out of here with a W and end this awful contest
