Masterson just made Kubel look like a AA player in his first ever AB (ok not that bad, but he made him look silly).
I need another inning and 2 more Ks from Justin to win my Vbucks bet. Although I wouldnt complain with better numbers

Does Masterson come out in the 7th, Footwedge? If he doesn't "Katie bar the door"!
. You looking good so far, though.

But when Choo is back, he better be in the line-up as well as Crowe. No sense in playing these guys with little to no future with the club.
I look through briefly but I didn't see anyone mention the reason that Brantley isn't playing is he hurt his shoulder. I'm sure if he's healthy he's in the line-up every day. Well until Choo comes back anyways, then it's either him or Crowe. Manny also said that Donald is the everyday 2B and Nix is the utility infielder. I seem to be in the minority of posters who likes Donald. He seems like he tries to do too much and makes dumb mistakes sometimes but that will work itself out with experience. Nix on the other hand is a career utility player who is on a hot-streak I'd rather give Donald the playing time.

^^^He better! Only at 93 pitches. I would hope if he goes 1-2-3 hes out for the 8th even if hes over 100.

I dont really care who plays between Nix and Donald. I dont get the fascination with Nix because I dont see him doing much the rest of his career.
I hope Brantley is hurt. Frankly, I want him playing over Kearns even when Choo is back.

Perhaps Brantley's .140 BA has something to do with it? Sorry about your vbucks, Laley. Here comes R. Perez! Do it!

I have to admit I'm really liking Rafe's red glove....Orrville booster club should buy Scott Marshall a crate of those for his varsity.

May I say that, once again, I would have left the starter in. What are middle relievers or "hold men" or "set up men"? Hmmmmmm....they make 3, 4 million a year....they make MORE APPEARANCES than INNINGS PITCHED.....they aren't good enough to be a starter or a closer. End of rant.
We still tied.

Thats fine for a day off. I dont mind that if he is struggling as I said. BUUUUUT, he is STILL our future, and thus needs his ABs. Consistent days off are dumb. If you think he needs them because he is struggling send him down till September.
I was talking to Bob Dibiasio the other day. He contends the biggest thing for the second half is to get Santana, Crowe, LaPorta, and Brantley, Donald as many ABs as they can. Sorry Hits....no mention of Marte lol.

May I say...Ah so, you the funny man! However, the performance of Perez pretty much typifies Orrville baseball (oh God, I will probably catch hell for that comment!).HitsRus;428482 wrote:I have to admit I'm really liking Rafe's red glove....Orrville booster club should buy Scott Marshall a crate of those for his varsity.
BUT, Hafner comes through!

Best friends with my dad. Went to Ohio Wesleyan together and were in the same Fraternity. My dad played baseball, football and basketball (but Im not sure if Boz played any sports lol). Either way, he was up with us at our cottage recently (was with him during the LeBron thing, and his phone rang from noon until 9am non-stop) haha. He is great to talk to about any Cleveland sport, although he obviously knows more about the Tribe.
a little known factoid is that his first job out of college was covering Fremont Ross for the paper. He was also "traded" to Atlanta back in day (all the staff was let go and many ended up in ATL). He was there for one year and Cleveland brought him back. This was like way back early 80s if Im not mistaken.

Edit it, n00b. If I remember, you were asking about Kearns' injury last night when I already reported it. BUT..........because of your outstanding avatar.......I give you ANOTHER free pass.
