jjhuddle: "what?"

ME: "Yeah. Their levy failed last spring."

jjhuddle: "So it's closed?"

ME: "Yeah. It was all over the news. It's closed."

jjhuddle: "ooh. I guess we'll look into it. Thanks."

I mean, I don't want to say they sound a bit minor league....but, well, it sorta does.
This should be posted over there, but then no one would read it since no one is there...Or it would have been deleted. Good ol' JJHasbeen.

I was a Quarterspondent last year, which was granted just in time to get me a free pass on the $12. I've been a JJ member since 2001 and never had to pay, even after creating a new name (after being gonged) a year or two ago.

This

tho since I really don't care about the grammer police... Quarterspond may not be the correct term.

My dad went to HS with JJ and knows some of his friends and was told he sold it for $1 million. Not sure if true or not.

That text score update program was a disaster last year. I seriously do not think I ever got a score off of there before hearing it in the forums or elsewhere.

Also, 3/4 of the texters did not do their jobs (or in some cases the text program failed and they never went through)

That figure is more than an order of magnitude higher than what a site of that size and structure would merit. IOW, not a chance.

Probably closer to 1 million pesos. ($77,351.50)

or Zimbabwe dollars when it was still around. At its worst, 1,000,000 ZWD was worth about four bucks.

Justin, if you receive any million dollar offers for this place I'd be happy to accept twelve dollars to follow you to freechatter.com...

Be careful if you do that though, because the owner of the old chatter is a real dick and might send you a certified letter for using the word chatter.

JJ called me and asked if my fridge was running. I was confused so I went and checked and said that it seemed to be running fine. He then told me I better go catch it. Very rude.

$1,000,000 seems pretty crazy, especially considering who bought it. It's not like it was the Columbus Dispatch or a print company with deep pockets. But he sold it around 2000 when the economy was booming and the tech stocks were soaring. Not sure if it's a real number or not, but I'm pretty sure that JJ himself told my dad. With all hate aside, that site was getting a lot of hits a day, surely increased sales of Ohio High Magazine and sold advertising space, so who knows.
