He sits five back of the record, but hasn't won since the US Open in 2008. When, if ever, will he win his 15th major title?

I think he will get back to "the Tiger of old" next year and win 2 of them.

Tiger is suffering a similar break down it seems most of the rest of the games greats have over the years in that it is always the putter that betrays them as they get older.

The ball striking stays intact, but often it is the doubt that creeps in with the flat stick in hand that turns transforms the greats into mere mortals.

The fact Tiger switched putters for the first time this week tells me he is really starting to look for answers, and that is not a good thing.

He's going through a divorce, I'm sure he has.

I expect him to win at least one next year. It's not like he's done terrible this year in the majors. Fourth at the Masters, fourth at the US Open, and 23rd at the British. Not like he's playing so terrible that he's not in contention.

I agree somewhat, but as I said above the putting thing is a major concern. The difference between Tiger and Phil the past decade has been the flat stick. It wasn't length, talent, ability to hit shots, it was that Tiger always made the pressure putts when he needed them that Phil would miss.

Putting plays games with your mind, and doubt has officially creeped into Tiger's mind as far as his putter goes. Once its there it is a very hard thing to get rid of.

He'll win majors again I think, but the loss of confidence in his putter is the biggest crisis his game has ever faced.

I guess I play differently then. I have had all sorts of swing and striking problems with my game (although they are all gone now thank god) but my putting has been the one thing I've never doubted. Maybe I'm lucky.

He spent 33 years+ becoming Tiger Woods and donig what was necessary to be the best.

I simply can't fathom him putting that enegry into being the best and not do it again to prove that he's back.

As for the loss of confidence in his putter.......it can return just as quickly as it goes.

He'll win a major before next year is over. I'll guess the 2011 British Open

I honestly think he will win more majors than any other golfer, when it's all said and done.

I say he wins at least once next year. It's true that his putting has been failing him lately, but I honestly think he'll get that back. He's beginning to drive the ball pretty well, maybe even better than before, and his iron game is coming back nicely as well. He needs four majors to tie Jack and five to beat him...I think he passes him in the next 5 or 6 years. I once believed that Tiger would blow Jack's record out of the water, but with the injuries and this scandal, things have certainly tightened up. I still think, in the end, he reaches his goal and goes down as the greatest ever.

Not this year. I think he needs a little "red dot" of his own. One like Louie's. Maybe then he could focus on his golf.

I say he wins five of the next four majors, for the greatest feat on sports history. That's right!

He is playing crappy golf for him right now and still finishing in the top 20. I'd say he wins 2 next year.
