I always loved Griffey and I'm a die hard tribe fan. It's too bad he didn't take care of himself a little better physically.

He should have used steraroids.

I had heard he wasn't much for offseason conditioning. Whether that's true or not is another story.

He also played 13 seasons on concrete(basically) and went all out, all the time. No matter what anyone would have done in the off season, playing on that shit in Seattle would tear everyone's legs and body. I'm not the least bit surprised he broke down. I just wish it wouldn't have happened until his final year, so we could have a "real" HR King.
