After the excitement of this year's World Cup, it has me especially excited for this year's upcoming EPL season, which starts August 14th. Anyone else here follow the league?

Liverpool fan here.
Hoping for a better year this year. Hopefully Torres will be fully healthy by the time the season starts.

Well, if Fulham somehow hires Bob Bradley they will instantly be the talk of America this season. They will have Dempsey, Eddie Johnson, and Bradley as coach...not to mention McBride as a former star.
Im hoping Donovan still makes the Everton (or ManCity) transfer. I want to be able to follow more Americans in the EPL since I dont have a real team (La Liga fan).

Bradley is off Fulhams short list...expect Martin Jol to be named coach

Two horse race again between Man United and Chelsea and I fully expect United to better than last year, especially with Javier Hernandez on board and if they can sign Balotelli from Inter. They would solve their striker problems long term.

Arsenal here...hoping Cesc hangs in there with the gunners.
Also interested to see what Newcastle will bring now that they are back in the top tier.

Well, since my team (Portsmouth) was relegated (and is facing another points penalty, to start the season with -15 in the Championship and possibly liquidation into nonexistence), I really don't have a dog in the EPL fight this year. I'll just sit back and enjoy the action.
Should be an interesting season. Chelsea and Man U are clearly at the top, but the battle for the final 2 CL spots is wide open, with Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Aston Villa all possibilities.

I think Everton can be put into that 3rd and 4th spot discussion mulva. They had a good year last year, I can see them playing well again this year and being right there at the end.

Everton fan, here. I'm hoping the team can have a full season like they did the second half of the season last year because they can definitely obtain Champions League with that performance last year.
I personally agree with the sentiment that it's a two horse race, Chelsea and Man United, for the top spot, but I think that any one of the six (Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Aston Villa, Tottenham) can obtain those last two spots. Though, I will put my money on Arsenal to get one, as long as they retain Cesc, that is. Some interesting things that need to be looked at, though, is if playing Champions League football plays any detrimental role to Tottenham this year, especially if they were to break into the group stage, and whether Man City, who have gotten some great transfers, can actually play with chemistry.
The fact that it isn't the big four and the others make this season really exciting, for me. The season starts on ESPN on August 14 with Man City/Tottenham...

Question for all of you: Would you want to join an EPL fantasy league? I do it every year with a couple friends, and I just want to see if there's interest in doing one on here...

I would. Although I like true fantasy leagues (no one has the same player) as opposed to the "buying" of players the ESPN leagues use. But Id join either way.

It was good to see Michael Essien back for Chelsea for the first time since December. Said that the knee held up great and even had a goal against Crystal Palace, Ancelotti substituted for him right after. Having a healthy Essien back is a good start.
