I don't disagree with the rest of your post but what I meant with the Dustin Johnson reference was that that was his first time in that position in a major. He had owned Pebble for the last two years so I can't imagine his entire meltdown was due to course set up. I think his early struggles were largely the cause of nerves, something that Oosthuizen will no doubt be feeling tomorrow.

Here is the reason why Oosthuizen will not win.....I have 1 vbuck...I have never had above 2400.....if anyone other than Casey or Westwood win I'll win 12,000 vbucks.....and that just simply won't happen...Casey will win and I'll then I'll have 32 vbucks.

It's very simple.

Tiger with 4 birdies through 12 holes....but two doubles to go along with it. Nobody at all is making a move so far and Oosthuizen's lead has increased to five shots. Looking more and more like he's gonna win this thing. Casey is still within striking distance, I guess, but he better get started right now.

Huge eagle by Oos...but Casey comes back with a birdie...I like this two man race.

He is running and hiding on this course, nobody really had a chance from Sat on.

Can't say I am terribly surprised by how the day played out. Oosthuizen was just rock solid today as he had been the previous 3, and he had just built such a big lead over the rest of the field that it was either going to be Casey or no one catching.

Typically when a no name (like a Paul Lawrie) wins a major I get kind of pissed, but Oosthuizen deserved this because he dismantled the course in vintage Tiger like fashion. I am not sure what the future holds for him, but he can really play as he bombs the ball and putts reasonably well. Now that he's got the confidence that he can do it on the biggest stage I would be surprised if he is never heard from again given the amount of talent he has. He is only 27, maybe he was just a late bloomer.

Go to ESPN, click round 4 highlights on the main page, and then listen to the worst sportscasting you have ever heard in your life. Whoever the fuck that was that was calling that recap needs a new job, wow was it bad.

Good call, karen. It was Dari. I was watching Sportscenter when he started doing that highlight. Needless to say, I turned the channel pretty quickly.
