you say "the cavs didn't even have a legit 3rd option, they suck" now he's got 2 first options to play with and great role players in chalmers, haslem and miller. why should they not be expected to win a ring every single year, considering the fact that the cavs (who had no talent outside of lebron) were favorites the last 2 years?

somebody help me understand. break it down like im a 1st grader,because i don't see it

If you want to determine why they shouldn't be expected to win every year, you have to compare them to their actual competition. And it isn't a three man game. And there's also a coach on the sidelines.

So right off the top of my head, you have Los Angeles with a coach who has 11 rings and a leader with 5 already. Then you have Boston with a title, three perhaps equally talented players and a proven coach. In Miami you have two guys who have scored a lot of points and not won shit and one damn good player with a ring. Look at the depth - Miami doesn't even have a roster yet. Oh and, who is their coach again?

If the Cavs had won the title with that team, then sure, there'd be no reason to expect that they wouldn't win in Miami. LeBron would've already beaten the competition he's facing now. Since he couldn't beat those teams before, there's no telling what the actual gap was between them. These new players might be enough, but they might not.

The biggest thing is that you talk about 60+ regular season wins as some watermark. It isn't. It doesn't mean shit. Playoffs are matchups and a completely different dynamic.
