I don't think muscularly he can get any bigger... he needs to add a little weight to his belly so he won't get pushed around in the run game. Against the pass he is a beast though... not bad against the run, but he just needs to be a little bigger.

Brandon Graham seemed to be everywhere for Michigan, too.

If both Heyward and Gibson come back next year, that D-line will be nasty with Williams and Simon also there with them. Just think of who will be there at LBs with Homan, Rolle and Moeller. I really think with this team being so young and having Miami, Penn State and UM all at home that next year could be amazing.

If both Heyward and Gibson come back, I think we could beat any team in the country next year depending on how Pryor progresses. Unfortunately, there is no way Gibson comes back and I highly doubt Heyward will either.

Tiger, the schedule and roster is shaping up to be a fun 2010 year.
QB: Pryor
RB: Saine/Herron/Hall/Berry/+others
WR: Posey/Dane/Carter/+others
TE: Stoneburner
OL: Shugarts/Browning/Brewster/Boren/Hall/Adams/Miller/
K: Buchanan
DE: Gibson/Heyward/Williams/Soloman
DT: Simon/Goebel
LB: Everyone returns except for Spitler.
CB: Chekwa/Torrence
S: Hines/Johnson
And this is just the two deep, not including FR or next season recruits.
I don't see Heyward coming back, he has played himself into a Top 10 pick depending upon NFL team needs. I could see Gibson coming back imo.

If Heyward and Gibson come back the defense will be sick.devil1197 wrote: Tiger, the schedule and roster is shaping up to be a fun 2010 year.

Larimore will start inside w/ Simon.
I think Heyward has a better chance of coming back than Gibson.

Gibson will be a starting 3-4 OLB in the NFL, maybe even right away. He is gone.

We also said that about JL, Jenkins, and that bunch their JR year.Cleveland Buck wrote: Gibson will be a starting 3-4 OLB in the NFL, maybe even right away. He is gone.
Fact is, no one knows who is gone or will leave. Hell I don't even trust them until its all done with.
Even if either go pro or one stays, the defense will be very good.

That's his point exactly. You never know. I like how you chose not to quote the entire post to try to make your point. We said the same about Vernon Gholston...and he DID leave.

His point of "you never know who will leave or stay" is a correct one and is not the point of my post.se-alum wrote:That's his point exactly. You never know. I like how you chose not to quote the entire post to try to make your point. We said the same about Vernon Gholston...and he DID leave.

My point of the post is, if you never know who will stay or leave, why would you put an example of a bunch of guys who stayed in the past? It doesn't have anything to do with Gibson staying next year.

He's not the great DB that osu always seems to have, but he's very serviceable back there.

Chekwa is a good CB. Sure he gets beat, but so did the Carolina Panthers Chris Gamble.

That's exactly my point. People claim that this person is gone or that person will stay. Guess what, no one knows there have been surprises the past 5 years that have stunned us.
And Gholston leaving was no surprise, his stock could not get any higher than it was.
Chekwa is a fine CB and will only get better. He really only had one bad game this season and that was Iowa, it happens.
People who claim that a certain person is gone 100% is laughable.
Like I said, if I had to choose between the two based on performance and hype Heyward would leave and Gibson would stay if I had to bet.

Hopefully Sabino get to see some time at LB. That hit was sick. The fog probably still hasn't cleared...
