That is a great question... makes you wonder about the playoff series with the C's.

I was actually wondering about this. I didn't know if he was going to get a slight procedure on it or not. I don't think he threw the season, but I think he gave up in several spurts against the Celtics. Better never do it in Miami, and if it does, he can have a first class ticket to NY or wherever in the morning.

Probably was nothing more than a bruise, but except for game 3 vs. Celtics it was definately something Lebron could use for an excuse for not playing up to his ability for most of the series.

There was nothing wrong with his elbow. He just needed the excuse to cover up his tankjob.

When he was a member with the Cavs it was a legitimate injury. Now that he is gone, he faked it? Mmmmm.

Yeah turns out Lebron faked a lot of things and a lot of people.

Exactly. Cleveland logic at its finest.

I would be among those who believe there was nothing substantially wrong with his elbow. I suppose there was one thing wrong with his elbow. It didn't have any balls.

And I will say that this is the first thread started by 2quik4u that I like. I had forgotten about this elbow business. Hmmmmmm....I must now ponder.

I don't think he tanked the season, now the C's series...maybe.

But I definitely don't think the elbow was "as bad" as he let everyone believe it was.

During the Boston series I said that his elbow was fine and he was throwing the series. This isn't anything new to me. I watched it with my own eyes. The piece of shit was perfectly healthy.

Look at it this way, if the Cavs win the title can he leave for Miami and not defend the title in Cleveland?? He had his out, injury the Cavs get eliminated and his choice was set!

Yeah, only do people in Cleveland do this..

Green Bay never did it with Favre.

I could probably name a ton of others if I felt like thinking about it.

This might be one of the things that Gilbert has on Lebron. That after all those MRI's they never found anything wrong w the elbow and thats why Gilbert thinks Lebron LeQuit.

Why did he bother beating the Bulls?

Some of the logic on here is unbelievable.

As for his elbow.....it was recently reported by Chris Broussard that it was seen about halfway down his arm.

Because the Cavs were much better than the Bulls, so it would have been too much of a tell that he was blowing it against the Bulls. You do it against a team like Boston, and not many will say he quit, just that the Celtics were a better team.

....if he had any idea he wasn't going to be in Cleveland next year.....why would it matter how the playoffs went. Wouldn't it be better all-around if they won it all?

Doesn't make any sense to me....no one needs to waist time explaining, I'm just not going to believe one of the best players in the world with all the weight on his shoulders to win it all and has a city eating from his hands and just one thing not on his resume just decides to win the MVP award and then in the 2nd round throws a series for faking an injury.........doesn't make any sense. I don't believe he is wired that way. He may have been planning on leaving all along....that I'll buy....but he had nothing to gain by throwing a series. Did Boston throw game 3 in hopes that he would stay in Cleveland the following year?

Again....please don't waist your time trying to explain anything to me......I won't respond....not trying to be an ass....just my thoughts on this.

I do hope the Cavs have a good season next year.....but Gilbert spouting off puts a lot of pressure on the GM to win soon.....and that may not be the best thing for the Cavs right now

Lebron played great two of the first three games of the Celtics series when his elbow was a hot topic. He didn't start playing bad until AFTER the elbow was a nonissue. Granted I think it was overplayed, but I highly doubt it has anything to do with Lebron playing poorly or him leaving. It was a little injury, it got better, and the issue was over.
