Anyways.....Manfred Mann I think holds the record for longest time between #1 singles. Do wah diddy was I think like '66 and Blinded by the Light was like '78. 12 years between #1s. Pretty impressive.

Actually, I don't think think that was even an average attempt. Maybe screw the pooch is more accurate. What does it mean for a band that it's only claim to fame is a lacluster cover attempt?

I heard a remake on the radio in Cincinnati the other day of Gerry Rafferty's Right Down the Line. Never did hear who did it, but it honestly sucked so bad I couldn't believe they were even playing it on the radio.
