I am shocked to see this. I went to school with Zoltan and he's a great guy. Still anytime I see him he never acts as if he's a big time football player (I know I know, hes a punter). If anything I think this was said out of frustration and emotion being his last day playing in college.
If you never heard anything from him before I can see people saying he is classless but I think this was just frustration talking and its not really Zoltan

The kid is looking to rationalize a horrid season, well 2 seasons. I can't fault him for being frustrated and trying to make excuses for why they lost.
I feel kind of sorry for him. He went to Michigan to be a winner and be a part of great tradition. Well I am sure he can go to the library and look at the tradition part.

How about they shut up and worry about beating us.
3 Straight UM senior classes that will never beat OSU.
Brings a smile to my face.

No big deal...he was Michigan's best football player this year...I understand his frustration...I mean it will be over 2500 days since the last time UM won in this rivalry when they get another chance. That means there are first graders that have never tasted victory....sad.

OSU is UM's biggest rival, say what you want about MSU, but if you polled all those in Ann Arbor, at least 90% would say that it is OSU.
Now, if we're talking Hockey, or maybe Basketball, i will give you it, but not in football at all.

See the link above. SI already did that poll and 96% said OSUcbus4life wrote: OSU is UM's biggest rival, say what you want about MSU, but if you polled all those in Ann Arbor, at least 90% would say that it is OSU.

Since Zoltan has arrived in Michigan, the Wolverines have become the laughing stock of the conference while the Buckeyes have won 4 straight Big 10 titles.
You could also say that along with Notre Dame, these two storied programs have become the laughing stock of college football.

God I hate Ohio State.
The punter was right. Michigan did beat themselves yesterday.

Zero class at UM right now. You RARELY hear OSU players talking trash and not showing respect. Even after the game, OSU players were talking highly of UM. And UM fans wonder why UM is where they are now? Tressel constantly preaches respect for the other team..its part of the success and keeping the focus where it should be.

LMAO....uh, NO, OSU beat up UM. OSU manhandled UM on both sides of the ball where it counts, line of scrimmage. The mistakes UM had? Where FORCED mistakes except for a missed FG.TolCentralCath wrote: God I hate Ohio State.

As I said on another thread, it was MEN against BOYS on that field. UM players should be VERY thankful that OSU has the most conservative coach in college football or that game could have been ugly.

Ohio State has done neither.
Wait, isn't Zoltan a 5th year senior? Meaning OSU did win a bowl game since Mesko has been at UM. (2005 Fiesta Bowl) But I wouldn't expect you to know anything, you are an uninformed fool. Go ahead and say how they have only won one bowl game since Mesko has been at UM, but that's all UM has won since MEsko has been there.
First off, Devil owned you. Secondly, MSU is their biggest rival? Ok, I guess since they have been able to compete with them lately, that is why. PSU is OSU's biggest rival, right? I mean we are 3-2 against them in the last 5 years and we are 5-0 against UM in the same time frame. That's not a rivalry, that's a one sided series.NNN wrote:No, but they're 2-2 against their biggest rivals (Michigan State).devil1197 wrote:Since Zoltan arrive in Ann Arbor, Michigan has not beat the Buckeyes.NNN wrote: Since Zoltan Mesko arrived in Ann Arbor, Michigan has both won a bowl game and beaten Florida.

The least he could do is instead come out and say I was the better punte. At least he'd be right about that....ours sucks.

I was thinking the same thing. Of all the people in Ann Arbor that deserve to talk, he's one. He completely outplayed his OSU counterpart.lacknett wrote: The least he could do is instead come out and say I was the better punte. At least he'd be right about that....ours sucks.
Of course, like I told my dad during the game, having the team record for most punts is not really something to be proud of.

I don't have a seething hatred for OSU football, I have it for anything related to Ohio State for a variety of reasons.Automatik wrote: lol....anyone with a "seething hatred" for a CFB program has issues IMO.
Who do you support?
Football only, or all sports? Heck, I don't know what an OSU hockey or basketball sellout looks like, but I can sure tell you about the MSU/UM rivalry that spans ALL sports and not simply the ones that OSU hasn't always sucked at.BigAppleBuckeye wrote: Well according to MICHIGAN FANS, 96% of them think OSU is their biggest rival:

Weak post ...
Read up on the kid sometime. He was born in communist Romania in the city that was the epicenter of the Romanian Revolution; he (and his parents) had to crawl around when he was three years old to dodge crossfire that was coming through the walls and windows.BCSbunk wrote: The kid is looking to rationalize a horrid season, well 2 seasons. I had a cousin named Zoltan who was murdered by communists. Now how do you feel?Turf Warden wrote: Ummm, you're a punter...and your name is Zoltan for chrisakes!

I think they did beat themselves. Teams that turn it over 5 times...miss a 20 yard field goal, and lose the turnover battle 5 to 1...can lay claim to beating themselves.
I see nothing wrong with his statement at all. The total yardage from scrimmage was even.

This time of year helps me to recall all of the reasons I dislike Michigan.
