Dan's a tad pissed off I see. If it weren't on the Cavs website, I would not have believed it was legit.

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.
Who wrote this? Sleeper?

People are bashing LeBron about being classless. IMO that letter is about as classless as you can get.

Guaranteeing a championship? Bwahahahahahaha

How is he gonna do that when he still has to go against Boston, Orlando and now Miami. Cleveland is as fucked as ever.

Fans like Sleeper are the ones that make me want to enjoy every single moment of tonight's crazy coverage and relish in every moment of agony the city of Cleveland and that franchise will go through going forward. If it's all downhill until the franchise leaves town, that would be fine with me.

However, I know how it is to TRULY love a team. Invest everything into them, year in and year out, no matter what, even if it makes you look like a homer or even delusional at times. Unfortunately, the LeBron era started with VERY FEW fans of that ilk for the Cavaliers, and it's going to end with just as many or more making their grand exit into apathy or to another franchise just like the King did to Miami.

To the true Cleveland fans who can't even define their feelings right now (to that brink of emotion we can allow sports to take us to), I'm sorry.

I love it!

But it's hard to imagine that coming from anyone other than Mark Cuban. Wonder if the cite was hacked? The personal guarantee of CLE winning a title before Leboob just seems a little too over the top.

However, I think they said on ESPN that Dan found out with the rest of us during the announcement. They were talking about Lebron one day regretting not telling Dan ahead of time, and if true that's just unbelievable classless to me and would explain Dan's rant, but still a bit too much.

What do you want him to say? Good luck LeBron?

I mean seriously, one classless act deserves another.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.
This will be interest to say the least.

Ehhh, I say more marketing than classless. Lebron over this whole ordeal has been pretty classless, IMO. Bringing attention to the Girls & Boys club? Good. Having them there so they can witness your stellar example of turning your back on the fans and hometown to become a mercenary? It really doesn't get much lower than that. Ohhhh how I wish we could of seen a camera shot of some sweet little 10 year old in tears hearing the announcement.

I was never a fan of any NBA team in particular. I liked watching Jordan with the Bulls and even Wizards and LeBron with the Cavs, but never did I call myself a fan of any of those teams. Now after reading Gilbert's letter, I am and will always be a Cavs fan.

Awesome! Go Cavs. I'm wearing my Tyrone Hill jersey on top of my Mark Price throwback to dinner tomorrow night. It is back to the true Cavs fans now and hopefully Mr. Gilbert's guarantee comes true.

Mind if I join you true fans. I've never had an NBA team, but with an owner like Gilbert, I want to join in. Being a lifelong Browns fan, I really get the pain that Clevelanders are feeling tonight.
