I heard that Bryer looks better than Bassitt did last year. Not a knock on Matt but I'm hearing Bryer really is a great passer

Woodmores new coach seems to not have mastered the art of talking to the media. Claiming that woodmore has just as much talent as Patrick Henry is not the right thing to put out there. If thats the case coach I fully expect you to be 10-0 and contending for a regional title.

Well he may be right. I mean Vicars said the same thing his first year after a 3-7 season and we went 10-2 his first year in Genoa

Vicars didn't go out and say Genoa was as talented as an NWOAL dynasty either. The first week of 2 a days isn't exactly the best time to compare his team's talent to a perrenial playoff contender. Hope he proves me wrong though. It'd be great to see Woodmore good again.

Bw is right, not too many football posters on here. Just looked at the Huddle, they have had 50+ threads posted on today regarding H.S. Football.......this site, 9-10.

That 12 bucks doesn't sound so bad. For a buck a month, I can actually share some H.S. FB info with others..... I think I'll try it for $12 a year.

I'll hang out here to see what's going on, but............

What is everyone's take on Rutherford taking over the defense this year? The new OC/play caller will be Joe Wyant.

OK dude. this thread is under H.S. sports / Football. I posted under the H.S. thread , and most of the posts are related to H.S. football.

More posters is what is needed. This site (OHchatter in general) basically has the same 15-20 posters who ridicule each other to see who the biggest tough guy is.

Flame away, but OHchatter is JJ-extralight with the sports forums.

^^There is some truth to that statement, however I'm intrigued to see how this site grows as the football season progresses. I think many people who want to share their views on football, but don't want to pay for it, will find their way here.

I think Vicars has gotten into Rutherford's head and Jerry is trying to find new ways to beat Genoa on a yearly basis. Hopefully he improves the D, there is no reason Eastwood should give up 50 points to Genoa and OG, and 35 to Woodmore was atrocious. Whats the story on Joe Wyant?

Well dude, I agree with you 100%. Don't know why you are getting so defensive? I was just explaining, not ridiculing. The HS forum is dealt with separately than the way the other forums are ran. I don't believe many..except for a couple..try to be 'tough guy' in the HS forums. I know more posters are needed...which is why I said WORD OF MOUTH. Get the word out about the site. Many people don't know about it yet. Why would I 'flame away'? B/c you voiced your opinion? I was just sayin'..this site was just created for the people that were in the SI/Trivia forum to come and BS..not to rival JJ's.

Wyant was the Head Coach at Lakota in the late 90s and was an offensive assistant at Oak Harbor. OH has had a lot of success with the Wing T and Wyant also ran it at Lakota.

LOL Classyposter 58, well played my friend. This was told to me by someone who watched the Lake team practice, so please don't flame me. Lake is NOT very good this year at all. That is all I will say right now.

Lake should be just fine, they return a bunch of people on both sides of the ball. They went 7-3 last year and the league has only gotten weaker this year, I see them finishing third again with another 7-3 or possible an 8-2 record.

Brutus, I hope you are right because if that's the case Oak Harbor must be REALLY good !

OH was picked 3rd in the league.. If May had any shot at an SBC title this year is the year.. not saying its gonna happen just saying this is his best chance thus far

Back to Lake, I am in no way involved with Lake I am a Genoa supporter, but I think you could go to nearly any school the first week or two weeks of two a days and go, "man this isn't too good," give it some time to develop. We'll see how they do in their first scrimmage.

Brutus, Thanks for the insight and again, I am getting this info second hand but from a reliable source. Huron and Clyde are loaded this year, but the Rockets will make some noise for sure.

Lake is gonna have a tough time with Huron, but I wish them luck regardless.

Huron is going to do a number on Lake. The old tiger offense is back after 4-5 year absence. About the only saving grace for the fliers is going to be that Huron has about 70 kids out 10-12 so they'll be moving kids in and out.

If lake gets too 7-3 it's because non-conference and league schedule ( except Genoa and Eastwood) are bad. If you look at that 7-3 record last season you will see that despite getting those 7 wins they beat some pretty bad teams by very narrow margins. However they did get the win's and that is something positive to build on.

I have to agree with this statement. Last year I was standing in the student section behind the endzone and Rutherford and his team were rite there and I swear he looked all flustered and I can't imagine how he was after the game. He had such a great dynasty winning 5 straight titles and now Genoa has supplanted them up top and he is doing everything he can to get back to where his program was
