Since you have two of them, I'll give you $12 for the cracked one that still works.

The LCD isn't broken. Just the glass.

Well, you handled it like a typical stupid American. Spending $1,000+ for something that could have been replaced with a half hours worth of work and 20 bucks

Actually, I have been wanting to get my wife a Macbook for some time now. Monday is our anniversary, she wants to get her own business up and running. This was just that final pushing point to say... "what the hell."

I found nowhere online where I could do it for $20 and 30 minutes time. Link?

That was both original and clever!

I think they might have actually fixed that for free seeing as the LCD panel wasn't damaged.

Well, I could always still call them. I'm actually glad that I made the purchase of the macbook.

No one has said this to me yet. Everything I've heard is basically that Apple are pricks, and will make you buy a new one.

Since the iPod still works, I think I am going to stick with it for now. When I start refereeing in the Winter, and have some extra cash, I think I might go with www.iresq.com.

I'd got with http://www.jetcitydevices.com/.

Dudes are inexpensive and get it done quickly. Also, I think most of their repairs have a warranty. They fixed an ATT Tilt screen of mine that broke and 9 months later I dropped it and the digitizer (touch sensor) broke. They fixed that for free.
