Correct. Which is true everywhere.
I've been to a few games at the Big House. Although the seats are most certainly smaller, I don't notice it versus anywhere else (big stadium).

I was at the UM/OSU game this year and, I was shocked to see how many OSU fans there were. I know it wasn't but it felt like it was almost 50/50.
People say that Michigan Stadium isn't very loud because of design. Not so true, there are so many OLD Alumni around and they don't stand up and cheer. If we young wipper snappers stand and cheer, they get pissed because they can't see the game and threaten to get an usher.
4 Rows up from me, there were 4-5 OSU Fans and they would jump to 7 Nation Army whenever it was played and scream Ohhhh-O-O-O-O-Ohhh-Ohhh. It didn't bother me at all because they were cheering and having fun. Sure enough, someone that played under Crisler or Yost started yelling at them.

Maybe OSU fans are fatter? I kid...fortfan;427921 wrote:Ive been told-those seats are only 16" wide-at Ohio Stadium the seats are 21" wide, so Um would only hold about 84,000 if they increased seat size to the same as OSU.
I'm not a huge fan of the huge single bowls, but they definitely made the place look A LOT better than it was.

You'll still have to walk up 80 steps to go get a dog or take a piss. This genius design I'm sure came a from a scUM Engineering grad.

If I was a UM grad, and they rolled the O-H-I-O chant around Michigan Stadium, I would be fighting mad.
But I'm an OSU student dad and I am very proud to hear such a chant.

Or you know, they designed it after the Yale Bowl, which was cutting edge at for it's time. I'm pretty sure Autzen Stadium has a similar design to it.

And this is the difference between the two. Michigan fans are not going to get that upset over that.

Was in Ann Arbor over the weekend and the place looks freaking huge! Need to make it to a game this year to check it out.

Might look huge but will once again be death like quite. I have been to a few Michigan games and even when everyone is screaming there heads off the Stadium is just so damn quite because it is a 1 level bowl

I guess we'll find out. The audio experts disagree with you.

Last year, even when they weren't completely done with construction, it was a lot louder than before. You'll be surprised.

I would assume that those press boxes do a decent job of deflecting some of the sound back into the stasium. Obviously 1 level bowls aren't great at holding sound (so many places are louder), but I definitely see how it has improved.WebFire;441561 wrote:I guess we'll find out.
