I was listening to KNR on the way home tonight and they were talking about deserving players that got snubbed and obviously Votto was at the top of the list. Anyhow, they were talking about the Pirates all star...Evan Meeks(or something like that). Anyhow, neither of the guys knew who he was and they are just laughing it up. They looked up his stats.....3-2 with a 0.98 era in 37 innings....pretty impressive.

Valbuena is tearing the cover off the ball, but the infield in the AL is loaded so I can see how he was overlooked, despite his MVP worthy numbers. But Huff....just doenst make any sense!

Wes
Actually, Meek is 4-2 (after winning today), 0.92 ERA and 47 innings. He's basically our Rhodes (but pitching more innings with slightly better numbers) in that he's that one regularly reliable reliever who gets used in virtually every single game the team remotely has a chance to win.

As for Votto, if Charlie Manuel doesn't think he's as deserving as a light-hitting utility player who averages something like 2.4 plate appearances per game (in other words, nowhere near even being eligible for things like the batting title) in Omar "WTF?" Infante, who am I to say different?

So Manuel should have taken a 4th first baseman over someone who can play 7 positions? Infante is the truth, stop hating. :D

no....Manuel should've taken Heath Bell as the Padres rep and picked Votto over Adrian.

WIfe and I have voted about 200 times....you can do it about every 10 seconds on reds.com

I am the farthest thing from a Reds fan, but I came on here and saw all this Votto stuff and looked up his stat line. That stat line is crazy! I honestly think the voting for the starters should be taken out of the fans hands and given to the coaches and players. Jayson Heyward is a great young player, but .250 with 11 HR's and 70k's does not make a starting All-Star. And yes, I know he's an outfielder but just giving an example.

Just a quick note......Sprint users (maybe it doesn't have to be Sprint, but thats what it says) can vote by texting VOTE to 1122. Or, if you don't want to have to go back and forth with the instructions, just text "N3" to 1122 and do it over and over and over and over and.........

with about 48 hours left he is still leading....The Reds have joined an alliance with the Red Sox and the Reds will wear Vote Votto/Youklis tshirts duriong pregame warmup on Wednesday

Votto and Youk are both leading.

The Rangers and Nationals also have an alliance to get their 3rd baseman the game....the Reds are trying an alliance with the Chi Sox on facebook and that's who I've been voting with

Indeed. The fact that Votto is relying on this final vote garbage is a huge joke.
