I'm planning on going to Red, White, and Boom tomorrow and was wondering where a good place is to watch it. Any suggestions?

Which Red, White, and Boom ??? I believe every city in Ohio calls their fireworks that....Scratch that, our is called Red, White, and Kaboom. I'll be watching it from the street as our fire works are less than a mile away. (about a half mile as the crow flies).

I would try Huntington Ballpark or the field near the corner of Olentangy and 3rd. I've never been downtown to watch them, too many damn people.

The main post office on Riverside Dr. Easy access and regress after it's over. However, you may not be able to see the lowest of the fireworks which are usually the boomers.

They're overrated. A lot of the shows that town put on around Toledo are actually better. We go to Oak Harbor's every year and they are better than Toledo IMO.

I'll be at Goodale park but I agree that they're overrated. I expect to see better fireworks tomorrow night following the Crew game

Other cities may call their fireworks the same thing, but when you say Red, White, and Boom everyone should know that you're talking about the fireworks in Columbus.

There's no way that Oak Harbor's fireworks display is better than Red, White, and Boom. Boom is the largest fireworks display in the Midwest, usually about 25 minutes long set to a sound track. There are few, if any, fireworks displays in the country better than Boom, and I've been to Cincinnati, Dallas, Washington, DC, and a few other places for fireworks on the 4th.

As far as the question at hand, my family always used to go down to Vets Memorial. Close to all of the action but tough to get out after it's done.

I been to probably 25 of the 30 Red, White and Booms and while it is a great experience, there are other communities that can compare when it comes to strictly fireworks. I actually believe that Lancaster has had a better show than RW&B for several years. Especially the finale. Lancaster's finale the last four years has been better than any I have ever seen anywhere and there is not a close second.

Vets is and will always be the best venue to view the fireworks, but I like the atmosphere around the Arena District more. We will be set up at the Arch Park.

Question: why is Red, White and Boom TOMORROW again, and not on July 4? I was also baffled when I lived in Ohio that neighborhoods assign certain days for Halloween (like Worthington would be Oct. 29, Dublin Oct. 30, etc). What's up with that?

That way other communities don't have their shows trumped by the larger event. As far as the Halloween stuff, I have no clue.

Oak Harbor's last at least 25 min every year with music too. Not to bad for a little farm town...

And here I thought it was in Cleveland. I'm glad to know now that is not the case.

I keep forgetting that the whole state revolves, or at least should revolve, around C-Bus.

When you are located in the middle of the state, everything kind of revolves around you doesn't it?

RW&B is tonight (Friday). I work on Greenlawn Ave. and Berliner Park is already filling up. I never knew this many people liked to take it up the ass. I need to get the hell out of here.

True...or people from there want it about them, plus the state is high in the middle and round on both ends.
