LaPorta with back to back HR games. Santana 2/4 with a double and RBI. Choo with another blast and a 2/3 day.

LaPorta has shown a lot more power (not a huge sample yet, but still) this time around compared to the beginning of the season. Todays swing to right center was not a HR looking swing and it got out by quite a bit.

We are the ONLY club in the majors that won't put there closer in for a 4th game in a row. Great confidence, huh?? Must have a hot trade partner based on his last 3 outings...lol. Don't wanna take that chance on 4 in a row.

I can guarantee most clubs would not send out any reliever 4 straight days...let alone their closer.

Clippers update

The first place Clippers are leading the 2nd place Indians(Indianapolis)6-2 in the sixth inning.

Jordan Brown has 2 hits and 4 rbi to give him 35 rbi on the season.

Brantley has two hits and a rbi(26) He will be called up soon.

Josh Rodriguez playing short tonight has two hits raising his average up to .344(Why the brass over looks him is another question I can find no answer to)

Marson before getting kicked out was 0-2.His average now stands at .178

Atleast he's accomplished something tight lipped Acta hasn't done as our manager this year. Gotta like a little fire in a guy.

Nice to see this rag-tag bunch put together a nice little win streak.
Let's hope they can do it again tomorrow.

The blowpen is pitching like they actually believe they belong in the game.

I'm amazed, given how bad they've sucked, that the bullpen went that whole series (8.2 IP) giving up 0 ER's and 9 K's. Simply amazing

No closer would be thrown 4 days in a row, lol.

I also love that Andy Marte, Mr. 3 errors in one inning, is always brought in for defense in the 9th inning of games!

Will Jordan Brown ever get a chance in the bigs?

The guy tears up every year and cant even get a call up, Id like to see one of the younger guys get a shot at left field to go along with Sizemore and Choo next year.

^^^Half the problem is we are to loaded in the outfield position especially when Grady is healthy. But it seems there is another 3-4(position players) guys in the AAA squad that could be playing right now in the bigs. Maybe they'll package a couple up next year and bring in some bullpen help?? Just a thought. Althoiugh there not looking to contend next year, but you never know with this shitty division. .500 ball right now puts you right in the thick of things.

Nice to see a little streak. If the past holds true they will get to within 8-9 games back and people will start to get excited, then they will lose 15 of 20.

Bown is a stepchild in the eyes of the Cleveland brass. They act like they want nothing to do with him even though he was drafted by the team back in 2005. If he was part of a big trade they, the brass would be bending over backwards giving him a starting job praying they were correct in trading for him.

Clippers up 7-3 now. All of the Indians runs have came off of the bat of Alex Presley. The young center fielder who was called up from Altoona and has just six games in triple A has gone deep twice tonight(3 in triple A now)

Jenson Lewis threw another scoreless inning lowering his ERA to 1.42.

Game is in the 9th.

Nice to see Laporta taking advantage of this opportunity. Maybe the kid can relax knowing that he is going to play everyday and doesnt have to worry about being sent down.
